Statistics was my favorite class ever at UK. Better than anything in my major, minor or graduate studies. It had actual application to the outside world. Plus I was really good at it despite being a pretty middling Algebra/Calc student. That helps, I guess. Could also be that I was taught by one of the leading professors in the nation and not just some math dork.

Anyway, to the attempted test thief ...

Still not sure why the student came back and admitted to it and then ratted out his other buddy. Weak followup to a hilarious and ballsy move.

All kiddin aside (just for a second then we can get back to it) can you imagine the phone call back to Dad after all this. The kid not only made the news all over, picked up criminal charges he has to deal with and that may follow him for years, but very well may get kicked out of school too and lose all the money and time Dad's invested so far trying to get him a college education.

Great story to tell down the road but man what a price. Might want to get that CDL license.

Henry Lynch II, a 21-year-old junior majoring in biosystems engineering, gave police an earful, including that he’d climbed through the building’s air ducts to the ceiling above Cain’s office and dropped down into the room, then unlocked the door and let in his friend

Hmmm, wouldn't studying have been easier?

First thing I thought of was Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible hanging from the ceiling . . .

I did better with Calculus but I didn't like the professor I had for statistics. In that type class, it makes a big difference.

I took undergrad stats and grad biostats by correspondence. It sucked. I woud've crawled thru a damn sewer pipe if it would have gotten me out of taking those.
