Perhaps the most disappointing post-inaugural album rock group ever. At least they have enough hits and covers to complete a concert.
Yeah, their follow up album "Recovering the Satellites" only made it to number one on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Only 6 of their 7 studio albums made the top 10 of Billboard Top 200 album chart. And the 7th peaked at 11. Sooooo Fvcking disappointing. 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

Saturday (6/1) is the birthday of Alanis Morissette. To celebrate, the song that she's most known for:

Albeit a scUM grad, Dave Coulier is probably glad he broke up with her.

AM is a 9 on the crazy axis and a 1 on the other.

Curtis was a great songwriter as well.
In 1965, he wrote "People Get Ready" for The Impressions, which was ranked at no. 24 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

LOL. For the birthday celebrations for musicians, most of the time it's easy to pick a song (or two) to post. For others, it's hard to find one song. (@Woodpecker gave a shout out to Ronnie Wood in this thread. I didn't put a birthday celebration in for him, as I couldn't think of a song of his.)

For Curtis, I was so, so close to including "People Get Ready." Alas, I opted not to, but thanks for adding to the jukebox and to the information about Curtis.

It would not surprise me if Mrs. Fair could really cut the rug when that song comes on. It would surprise me if @fairgambit was as good with the moves. 🤣 🤣
Yes. My wife is a terrific dancer and I ...am not. She was a cheerleader and gymnast in high school so that helped. I played trombone...badly.
Still, we slow dance at weddings.

Today (6/5) is the birthday of the late, great, Tom Evans. He was bassist, songwriter, and sometime lead singer for Badfinger. To celebrate, one of their top hits, which was written by Paul McCartney.
