Burnt toast and a rotten egg. I've got a tape worm and that's good enough for it. Yuk Yuk

My homemade sage dressing smothered in turkey gravy. That taste and that smell brings back many Thanksgiving memories.

Love me some three stooges!!

To answer the OP: my dad smokes the turkey, and I like it much more that way than traditional oven-baked. Since my birthday is really close to Thanksgiving (and sometimes on the day, but this year it's tomorrow), we always have cheesecake for dessert. I loooove cheesecake!!

I could eat stuffing and only stuffing and consider it a successful thanksgiving.

Traditional Turkey if the skin is brown and seasoned. Love the drum sticks and wings. Wife out did herself this year and best stuffing she has ever made. I must be on the way out or something. God giving me my last supper.

Sweet potatoes.
Sweet Potato Pone. :scream:

Never had it before. It was sweeter than chess pie. Holy hell it was good.

Also learned that "chess" pie is actually born of the phrase "just pie", meaning a pie of just basic household ingredients (eggs, flour, sugar).

Old people are so awesome.

Possibly a aide effect of getting older but I am not very "food driven". Favorite is bacon on most anything. Most especially, though, with two eggs (over medium) biscuits and brown gravy. Sadly, nobody takes t he time anymore to make good gravy. They call it "sawmill" gravy or "sausage" gravy. :) I suspect any cook who put that kind of gravy on the table in front of any actual sawmill worker would soon be wearing it.

Good, country gravy is so easy to prepare it is a travesty none of the restaurants bother to do it right. Still, with bacon, eggs and biscuits it is my favorite food.
