I liked Windows 10 a lot, the only problem I had was that it auto updates, and one of the updates wouldn't take for me. So I'd turn on the computer, it'd fail at an update, and the restart to repeal the update, and then restart for real to the desktop. Got kind of annoying. Short of that, it was working fine for me.

It's been a really solid release. Smaller footprint, nice integration of 7 + 8. So far so good.

Depends of what you're currently using. If you're still on XP or Vista it will be a big jump for you but a fantastic upgrade. If you're on 7 it will be a great upgrade because it's just as solid. If you're on 8 it'll fix all the bad things they baked into 8. Windows 10 is very stable, the only downside is all the data Microsoft harvests from your PC. You can turn a lot of it off but they still collect usage data they then sell to third parties.

We just replaced 28 windows in our house last Fall. Way more efficient and bills are down. Start with 10 if you have to I guess.
Holy cow! The picture below is what I envision your house looks like. I think there's more than "10".:D

Son has it overall good but found a bug with ruhhing vidros or games i cannot remember exactly what it was. WIFE has it but has some problems, part of the system does not work as windows 10 does not support it.

Updated to win-10 about 3 months ago. Only problem was trying to play videos. The flash player is intergraded into the web browser and at first I had a lot of issues trying to play videos. But after about a month of upgrades and debugging video player works great.

If you're still on XP or Vista
People use Vista?!?! It came with one of my old computers and after a day, wiped the slate clean and installed XP. My goodness was Vista bad. Every action it seemed drew a popup asking "Are you sure you want to do this?"

Windows 10 is very stable, the only downside is all the data Microsoft harvests from your PC. You can turn a lot of it off but they still collect usage data they then sell to third parties.
As soon as I saw the option for a "free upgrade" to Windows 10 on my Windows 7, I texted a friend and said something along the lines of "It's only free because the information they'll be able to get off of you is more valuable than a nominal license fee people will be willing to pay." There's little reason they would develop a solid operating system that people will want to use and just give it away.

One question I have for those that have made the jump to Windows 10: Is it true there is no more Windows Media Center? I've heard that if you are upgrading from an operating system that has it, WMC will be retained, but if you are doing a clean install, there is no WMC.

10 was free for 8 users for rushing it to market i thought?

I enjoy the product, does what it says it will and is better than 8. It's no XP but it'll do.
