OT Yankee great Yogi Berra has passed away.

A true legend. I never had an opportunity to watch him play but I've read both of his books. We lost a great one.

Baseball is 90% mental. The other half is physical.
He hits from both sides of the plate. He's amphibious.
You can't think and hit at the same time.
So, I'm ugly. I never saw anyone hit with his face.
It's deja vu all over again.
You can observe a lot just by watching. (One of my personal favorites, I use it all the time).
Why buy good luggage? You only use it when you travel.
The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase.
Cut my pie into four pieces. I don't think I could eat eight.
I wish I could find the exact words, but one of my other favorites was "I wish I had an answer to that question because I'm tired of answering that question.
One of my favorite athlete-entertainers of all time. I think many have tried to capture his raw humor but just not succeeded like he could. My father always loved Yogi and has a personality a lot like his. Quotes him all the time. Must be a guido thing, haha.

You know Yogi was known for his quotes and think he was pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. They all made perfect sense when you got down to it. Plus he was one of the top 2 catchers who ever played and you could argue his was the best. 3 time MVP even when Mantle ,Dimaggio and Williams were playing. 300 plus lifetime B.A. 300 plus HR's, 18 time all star. Struck out only 12 times one season and if you ask those who knew him they would say he was a greater and better person than a baseball player.OFC
RIP Yogi. One of the all-time greats and also one of my favorite players on probably my favorite MLB team of all time. Although I don't follow MLB anymore, I lived and died with the Yankees of 1960. I really loved that group of players.
I really admired his attitude about baseball and life in general. A great example for MLB.

Never been a Yankees fan and never will be but I wish I'd been alive during the years when all of the great legendary players played for the Yankees
