Just had an old moment. I was thinking man I remember it being a free-for-all too and that wasn’t that long ago, I just went in 1998 (do some mental math...add this.... carry this....subtract this...) Damn! I’m getting old.
I went in the late nineties, and we called it clam hunting instead of shark fishing.

Shark fishing would be fun, no doubt, but swimming with sharks is on the bucket list.

-swam with (above) tiger sharks. They were about 10 meters below us...and being fed from a cage. So they weren't particularly interested in us. Exhilarating nonetheless.

-i have fished bulls before. I came up empty handed...but my buddy caught a 7 footer. Was fun.

^Bull Shark circa '10. Took four of us about an hour to reel in taking turns. Only a goliath grouper put up a bigger fight.

My buddy Has caught a lot of sharks in Fort Meyers and the Callahoochie river. I believe that's the name of that river. Anyhow it's the river right there at Cape Coral.

Also Ocearch is a cool app that shows where a lot of tagged sharks are at. Mainly bull, tiger, and white sharks. A lot of these are tagged in South Carolina, but they will pop up all over the place including the gulf from time to time.
