I think he needs to fix his "hitch" before being considered by the NBA.

But no doubt can he finish in the paint.

I'd like to think NIL money gets him to stay an extra year and work on that jump shot.
I do hope you're right. I'm hopeful that Pope is nothing like Cal in the way of pushing guys out the door to become pro as soon as possible. Love to have him another year as he is something else to watch in games. He is always around the ball, it seems, whether offense or defense and is so fun to watch.

Me too, I honestly think that is the plan too. Lewis seemed pretty sure we would have 5 players return and he’s one of them. Obviously he could blow up but I don’t know if they will consider him first round so I bet he returns.

Just go to UK Athletics site, mens basketball, roster. Show on UK official roster he is a junior. Has this year and next to play.

I don't think he needs to fix anything because it is going in just fine. He won't be in the nba because of his sharpshooter abilities but in many instances when players make big changes to their shots it backfires. Best bet is to just keep shooting them the same way.

Well we have a coach that has actually played in the NBA and will tell the players the truth if they are ready for the NBA or not. I hope he stays another year myself.

Gosh, the Cal PTSD is real in this thread.

We're so used to any guy who shows a sign of life leaving us after a year.

Oweh is an NBA tweener. Too short to play the three with consistency, too limited with his ball handling and shooting to play the NBA two.

He's a late-2nd round pick at best right now. He needs another year.

Don’t hate me for it but I don’t see Oweh as a high draft pick. As mentioned, his shot mechanics are a real issue and the requirement to get shots off fast at the next level should be emphasized. He has an average to below average handle for his size. He is a good finisher, but not elite. He is an outstanding defender, has outstanding intangibles and clearly has outstanding work ethic. NBA first rounder? Nah, playa
