David deserves the recognition because he did have a great year but still kinda funny that Cael set the points record at Nationals two years in a row and didn't get the recognition either year. Just sayin'.

I'll say that when I take off my orange tinted glasses Nebraska was pretty darn deserving as well. They came up to get second place with hardly any transfers or NIL or RTC support. I'm sure they look at metrics like seeds vs results, improvement over the season, things like that.
Are we sure that Penn State spends that much money? They were opportunistic and got Cael at the correct time. I think it is a lot like when we hired David Taylor. I doubt either school spends like Iowa. David Taylor is not big into spending money on NIL, but he prefers to develop talent. He brought some supporters to Stillwater last October and that is what he told us. I doubt he has reversed thoughts. All of the transfers last year were a function of what some boosters did with Coach Smith.

Yes, he made a D2 school in Arkansas a juggernaut. Then we to Army and turned out All-Americans, which isn’t easy to do because of the recruiting hurdles.
