Figured we could use an other results thread.
So far into OSU/Stanford Dual:
Spratley Tech
Tyler Knox beats Figs 13-9
Vega techs Consiglio
Valencia majors Swiderski 13-3.
Wow! Is Valencia that good or was this a choke for Swiderski?

- Valencia was way more athletic than Swiderski. Valencia is slick.
- Zach Ryder has no offense. Not athletic and can only score from an undertook.
- Merrill has no offense. Very very good defense. If you can’t take him down then you better be able to ride him out.
- Wasn’t impressed with Facundo. Lorenzo Norman would have beat him.
- Robideau is very good in all positions. Tough kid
- Dee is very athletic. Gavin is dangerous and Dee wrestled a good match.

Some of those young guys are going to get scouted as more of their matches get seen by d1 opponents. Look as Ryder a week later. Same will happen with Vega and Robideau.

A lot of talent on the OSU team, but too early to make sweeping conclusions.

I really think the Cowboys will be battling for 2nd at NCAAs.
Agreed. PsU will unfortunately run away with the title again, but I think Iowa, Nebraska and ok state will be battling it out for 2nd with iowa state, NC state and Ohio state in that next tier.

I agree, but I believe out of all of them Robideau will still be a tough out for anyone. He has a more complete game

If ISU and Ohio St stay healthy and make a run, they could be in that race for 2nd.
I agree. OkState is going to need a bunch of high end results from very young, unproven guys to truly challenge for 2nd. iSU and tOSU have a ton of proven talent that can really go deep in March if they stay healthy.

He was up 7-1 in that match and got hit with a lefty headlock with under 10 to go to lose. Valencia at 149 will be problems. 149 is the weakest weight this year
It was 7-6 late when Evans hit the lefty headlock to win it. But feel free to present it in a manner that suggests it was a “lucky” win for those that didn’t watch the match.

It wasn't lucky? He was down 7-1 early in the match . Evans is solid but he's not on Valencia level. When did you become such a baby? He's not on penn St anymore. Are you gonna be overprotective for Ryder as well?

The score was 7-6 Valencia when the TD happened. I’m not being protective of Evans, I’m just pointing out that you misrepresented the facts of the match to push your agenda.

The fact of the matter is that Valencia is young, talented but not a superstar yet and Swiderski is inconsistent as he always has been. They are not normally guys that should be top 5 type guys right now but unfortunately 149 sucks.

What agenda? Now I'm against Adam Hall is that what you guys will make up next . You are funny . I said he was up 7-1 in the match. So everyone would understand that he's not on Valencia level and he hit a lucky move to win. If he was never a Penn st athlete you would never have said a word so who's pushing an agenda 🤷

The score was 7-6 in the third.

Hunter Garvin was up like 10-1 on Caliendo last year early. Are you saying that is evidence that Caliendo is not on Garvin’s level? Obviously not.

There are plenty of matches where guys erase 6 point deficits in the 3pt TD era. The Valencia- Evans match was close. It was fairly representative of a competitive match.

Valencia then went out an dominated Swiderski. Which tracks with Swiderski’s career (which the original poster termed overrated).

It has nothing to do with PSU, Utah Valley, Ok State or even Iowa. It has everything to do with you misrepresenting the match so you could respond with a defense of Swiderski that fit your agenda.

Valencia has talent and smoked Swiderski. Valencia has talent and lost to David Evans. Both are true and neither is incredibly surprising.

You posted it on your boards now and tried to get the troops against me once again. You said I'm crying when you have a Kleenex sponsor. Never change Dice.

What's my agenda Dice? You claim I'm an Iowa fan and you said it doesn't matter what school Evans is from. Please explain my agenda.

Swiderski is not overrated. He’s a head case. He has the talent to beat anyone on any given day. Because he is not consistent, one wonders if Teague will takeover the spot once he’s healthy

This is fair. I do believe he is talented, although I’m not sure he is of the talent you expect to see in the national finals. But he is capable of beating high level guys.

I didn’t make the overrated comment, but I think it was made in terms of his being the #2 ranked wrestler, rather thanthan his talent level. And I agree, I don’t think he’s the type of wrestler that we should expect to see wrestling on Saturday night.

Its going to be a battle for 2nd this year.

Okie St is having some major success building a team to challenge PSU in the future. I think this is the best way for Iowa to climb back up. No team alone has been able to chip away at PSU and bring them back down. Okie St and Nebby could help level the playing field in the future. Iowa needs to take the next step forward in Recruiting however to keep and gain pace.

He also has the lack of maturity to lose to anyone on any given day... and then pick a fight or mule kick them or whatever other whiny b*tch move he's done while crying about losing.
