What does that even mean? administrative leave??Poeta on administrative leave
I'm trying to figure out what non compliance with university fiscal control means? What does that even mean? administrative leave??
Willie said it was “school funds” and that it was a “very small amount” on twitter. I definitely wouldn’t say 5k is a very small amount of money for apparel.Per Willie on Intermat
word is that he bought u of I gear from an apparel company that his wife owns.
4-5k worth.
and the wrestlers and coaches wore it which conflicts with nike deal.
Why would we want him? He's 184/197 and we are fine there. He's overrated. There are other kids in IL worth mentioning thoughya think stewart will come to iowa
For sure kannon webster would be at the top of the list id thinkWhy would we want him? He's 184/197 and we are fine there. He's overrated. There are other kids in IL worth mentioning though

Literally and figuratively.Hawkeye women wrestlers don't play.
It's a vicious circle...we don't do well at nationals, we don't have many elite level senior wrestlers, and our collegiate guys don't wrestle much at all, so why would people donate to the HWC? Donors want to see the HWC do well, but none of our guys go to any dang events...so why donate?Agree, lack of a top RTC at Iowa is hurting us. Most of the top kids do seem to be more into international freestyle than college folk style, even though the money and fans are in college wrestling. When Nolf was on Flo talking about how to have a successful college program, he pointed out how smart it was for Taylor to prioritize this right away, and also pointed out how this hurts the Iowa recruiting. Bob mentioned on here that we don’t have the money to have a RTC that attracts top guys. You know wherever Nolf or any other top coaching candidates Iowa may try to get in the future are going to demand bringing HWC up to speed. That’s going to be a problem getting a coach with the ability to take back to the top.
If you are buying clothes for a whole team, 5K would not go very far.Willie said it was “school funds” and that it was a “very small amount” on twitter. I definitely wouldn’t say 5k is a very small amount of money for apparel.
Wyatt Medlin would be my flip candidateFor sure kannon webster would be at the top of the list id think
not for Iowa that's for sure.Wyatt Medlin would be my flip candidate
Heard him and Desanto are budsWyatt Medlin would be my flip candidate
His dad's their RTC coach. i think? If they keep him id bet he would stayWyatt Medlin would be my flip candidate
Would be a bummer for the program if they fire Poeta, he’s really gotten the program in the right direction. In terms of their roster and recruits Stewart has really regressed quite a bit. Didn’t even place at Ironman and keeps falling in national rankings. Is real short for the weight and just doesn’t have reliable offense against other top level guys. Webster and Scoles are both studs in weights we could use but scoles is an Askren kid so that would never happen. Webster was trained by medlin so unless he left as well I’m guessing Webster would stay. Why would we want him? He's 184/197 and we are fine there. He's overrated. Plus, Stewart plans on playing football also, which isn’t going to help him develop as a wrestler and will have to wrestle no smaller than 197.Would be a bummer for the program if they fire Poeta, he’s really gotten the program in the right direction. Vega pinned hardy in the 1st period
Classic Facundo. Forehead stuck to mat, arms fully extended, heels to his own hips, not even trying to pull a leg in.Facundo still can’t finish a takedown after all these years.
Where is the punch line?

True but when Hardy rolled through and had shoulders on mat for split second, that ref was not in position to even see it. Maybe the extra ref saw it and called it out to the mat ref but Hardy def not pinned when the mat ref got down to check, it was a good 5 seconds later than that roll through that sometimes gets called. The mat ref even seemed to hesitate after slapping the mat when it was too late. The slap of the mat has nothing to do with when the fall has occurred.
it’s just the signal to everyone that the fall occurred.
the ref should blow the whistle at the fall then slap the mat.
