Sooners favored by 6.5 at home. I haven’t seen Auburn play but Jackson Arnold’s highlights are impressive. Everything considered it should be a good game. I’m picking OU 31-24.

Exactly.I am really curious how JA will handle the defensive pressure that OU will bring.
Our D-line will be the difference. Jackson Arnold will not be given the time to go through his progressions. As a result of the pressure up front, utilizing their talented WR’s will be much more difficult. Not only that, Arnold will be forced to make quick decisions due to our talented front 4. This bodes well for the good guys. The reason that JA all that success against Baylor, is because the Bears couldn't stop Auburn's running game. War Eagle dominated them. That gave the easy pickins in the passing game, and Baylor didn't have a chance against studs in the Auburn receiving corps.
Auburn has an outstanding running game. And when they face OUr defense, they'll have a very different challenge this week. They have a chance to have a quality game, especially in the first half, when a great pass rusher can't play. The do have some skill position studs. But I have trouble believing that they're going to be able to run up and down the field against OU's defense. I do believe there's a chance that we might have trouble stopping their passing game. There's a chance that they come out slinging it, and with a lack of pass rush, which can beafactor early in games for us that we try to give so much help in that, that then the run the ball.
That freshman corner might just be the key in this game. He's looking like OUr stud. This might end up being very interesting. How OUr offense does... if we get another Michigan performance from the oline, might lead to a comfortable win, if we could finally win the dang turnover battle
After hearing OUr injury report Tuesday, I'm not sure what to think about this game. OUr first center is gone for the season. OUr starter after the injury was hurt against Temple. And OUr "emergency center" who also happens to be OUr starting right guard was hurt worse. We may have a lightweight (literally) walkon playing a lot against Auburn. We might have to win 3-2. We might have an oline available this Saturday that makes what we saw in a horrible opener, look not so bad, when we couldn't effectively block Illinois St worth a damn. I hope not. And BV claims we'll be all right. A repeat in the OLine of what happened last season in regards to injury, is not what most of us had in mind.
JC, this is the first post I've seen you make since all of this message board realignment. Now I haven't been around as much as I was formerly, but it's great to see you. Read you? Hope you're right.Baylor seems to be a joke.
Sooners by 14.
Thanks, Plaino. After realignment, it was gone for a minute. I'm not a fan of the new format. The board seems slower than it was in the past.JC, this is the first post I've seen you make since all of this message board realignment.
