When interviewed after their bowl game today Dabo Swinney was asked how come none of his players opted out of their bowl game and he said because "they're competitors, they love to compete and they love their team" Maybe our 3rd and 4th round D players that opted out should think about that.
Just want to say this about the D. At times they have bent but overall what we are seeing is a group of players wrapping up and making tackles. This has been absent in the Riley and Grinch era.
This is the first game in years now where I'm not fearing a 2nd half meltdown where we eek out and escape with a one point victory. Stoops will not hesitate to step on a throat.
Most energy we've seen all year. Not perfect but effort and intensity on every play.
If you'd have told me in August that we'd finish this season in Alamo Bowl with Riley at USC and Rattler at USCe and I'd be happy I'd have assumed your were insane.

I truely believe Riley done OU a huge favor by leaving. Tonights team looks more focused than they have been in quite some time. BV and company will bring a much needed new attitude and mentality to OU.

He's been playing like the game is over since before the half. Need to take of that right now and correct it in the off-season because he can be a good one.

Seems like everytime I give the D credit they revert back to being crap
