The good thing is, you can tell Riley isn't calling plays because he'd have come out in this second half very conservative and try to run out the clock meanwhile Oregon scores at will.

Brent got his work cut out for him. Grinch and his staff were nothing but talk.

Think we'll see some frustrating games with the defense next year as he figures out who wants to compete every play. Best players might be playing due to effort. Need to get tougher in the middle and absolutely need to teach these guys zone coverage. Need to find the leaders on D and start holding themselves accountable.

Also need to Coach these guys to finish. This game should have been over a long time ago yet here we are having a close game late in the 4th. This one isn't over.

Caleb Williams pulling Farooq away from a potential unsportsmanlike penalty might be the most impressive thing I've seen in this game. True freshman and maybe the best leader we've seen in a decade.

With the losses up front I can be moderately understanding. But there's definitely some going through the motions, which we've seen so many times.

A good win.
A win without Winfrey, Bonitto, Asamoah and Thomas....OU's top defenders.
Major and Farooq were unleashed for the first time this year and came through with solid contributions.
This team has some good momentum to build on for the 2022 season and to finish off the 2022 recruiting class.

Tale of 2 Halves like its been all season. 1st half was all us 2nd half we fell apart and let them back in it. Just look back at the very 1st game of the Season vs Tulane, a rut in the 2nd half of that game that we stayed in all season.
Lebby will likely have to outscore opponents for a couple of seasons until the D can be fixed. I just hope they don't stay with that mentality as thats what got us in this Taco Tech North mess to begin with

OU has work to do to shed its Texas Tech defensive shortcomings. And that may take at least another year or two. It sure appears that way.
