with today's convincing win in Dallas, OU closes the gap on its old nemesis TX. the rivalry between the 2 arch-enemies now stands at 62-48-5 whorns. but here's the best part. since 1971, OU is 26-20-2, with an even more impressive 8-3 mark in the last 11 games. maybe by the time i croak we'll have caught and passed them? figure we need about 20 years at this rate. #trendingsooners

Texas really dominated the series prior to Harry Truman's election.

29 of Texas' 62 wins were prior to 1947....when Texas owned a 29-11-2 record over OU.
Since 1948, my birth year, OU is 37-33-2.....even with the 13 year drought against Texas factored in from 1958-1970.

I didn't look it up but I knew OU started holding its own about the time Truman beat Dewey. Thanks.
