"New Nebraska"? You mean like having 7 consecutive losing seasons? Even the dismal OU teams of the 90's only had three losing seasons.
I mean going from an annual contender to a program that rarely plays/contents for a conference championship.

Ole Miss 12.1%
Maine 98.1%
Missouri 31.1%
Alabama 22.3%
LSU 23.0%

The odds I posted were mine but thanks for posting ESPNs. I should have specified that in my post. In the end OU chances are very slim.

"The firing comes after OU's 35-9 loss to South Carolina on Saturday.

Littrell, who is a Muskogee native was a fullback on OU's 2000 national championship team, currently has a contract that runs through 2026 and will pay $1.1 millon per year. "

Does that mean we owe this guy another $2.2M for the **** show he rolled out over 7 games???

Understood, but keep in mind that Nebraska hasn't won a conference championship in this century, which includes their last 11 seasons in the Big 12. For OU to replicate Nebraska's fall, it would require OU not winning another conference championship for the next 20 years, and also having seven consecutive losing seasons, neither of which is likely to happen to OU.

Interesting take. We will see

Yes, we shall see. This guy is probably Colin Cowturd in disguise. The change to JJF is just to finish the season is my guess, as you aren't going to hire someone outside of the program for the last half of the season. We will have a New OC next year that is from outside of the program.

Mississippi State is hands down the worst team in the SEC right now. For all of OU's struggles on offense, when they don't turn the ball over multiple times, OU is about even with Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.
Sorry but OU would lose to all of those teams on your list right now. We have no sustainable offense even without the turnovers. None. Defense will wear down. We are tied for worst team in the SEC and likely right there if we were still in the big 12.

Mississippi State is 1-6, on a 6-game losing streak, including getting blown out at home by Toledo 41-17. Some of you guys need to reign in the hyperbole "OU is the worst team in the SEC" nonsense.
