Our fanbase is an absolute joke. I gotta assume most have zero true basketball knowledge and live in fantasy land or their moms basement. People questioning Pope after what he’s had to deal with the entire year. People dogging players who really shouldn’t be playing if the team was at full strength. We are getting beat by a potential tournament favorite. If you’re reading this and getting upset…you’re the problem.

There are trolls galore on here, I'd say a lot of them are not UK fans, some of them are "uk fans" though.
There are a lot of losers on this board. Not fair to call them our fanbase.

Popes done a hell of a job it’s the trolls man. The injuries and a whole new roster, it’s amazing how many games we’ve won this season. Saying the fanbase is trash because we got some idiot trolls is stupid
It’s the minority. Most of us love basketball and coming here and discussing it. I too get emotional…but anyone questioning Pope after this season either doesn’t know ball or has something against Mormons. Which I’ll admit—I don’t believe what the Mormons believe—but this is basketball, not church.
I get a little critical at times, but I really do think Pope has done a damn good job considering all the circumstances. Better days are ahead I think. I know I do enjoy watching this year a lot more.
I think it’s fair to be upset when you’re getting your *** kicked. In fact I’d be worried if you weren’t.
Maybe I’m a little to harsh…I just get so sick and tired of the stupidity I read on this board after a loss. My apologies.
Pope has done a great job overall. His lineup choices are often questionable, but that’s really my primary complaint.
Its the 1% that make the entire fanbase look awful. Sadly, most are online, anonymous weasels.

Even if we don’t win another game, he’s gonna be back, and I’d agree that’s the thing to do. He still clearly has things to prove.
While there are a handful of toxic posters here and toxic UK fans in general, I have to say this board and our fanbase per capita has more basketball knowledge and passion than any other board/fanbase. Proud to be part of BBN, even though a small minority of members are miserable pricks. This is a heck of a board, with a majority of great posters/people. The activity and knowledge shared here is unmatched!

Most UK fans that I personally know don't hang out on message boards. The people who post here represent a miniscule portion of the fanbase. A couple of years ago at a Culver's down here, we saw a guy with his wife who had UK apparel on, and we struck up a conversation. They were from Danville and had football and basketball season tickets. I asked the guy if he was a poster on here. He said he knew about the website and had looked at it a couple of times but never registered to post.
Pope’s been amazing. We had no shot against Bama. Even if we’re fully healthy Bama is still better than Kentucky this year. Although it could be close. They’d still have the edge
I dont think anyone that knows anything about basketball expected this team to compete with Alabama tonight. Too many injuries.
I think Pope will become a great coach. This next year will be the tell all. We've picked up two instate high rated recruits but I don't think either one is immediate impact. We have a top NIL budget, and it will be worrisome if we don't get the very best out of the portal.

Your depiction of KY fans is absolutely awful…
However let’s reference the camera shot of Krissa, Butler, and Robinson all setting on the bench because of injuries. We can 2nd guess coach all day…but there is 3 guards that we know can lead this offense to produce, not to mention Butler’s prowess as a lock down defender and this game takes a new twist. So I’ll gladly HATE this loss but understand why it happened.
Everyone has a couple cousins in jail. Well I mean at least I do. But they are still family.
Not all the fanbase. There are some rabid fans that I love on here because of their passion and love for the program. But yea, there is also that other element. But those aren’t us.
We won 22 games with a roster that was thrown together and ended up with a ton of injuries.
