LOL! This guy again. If we won the game with 350 passing yards, you would have posted that Boom Williams must be frustrated. Football players know there is no "I" in "team". They know their starting quarterback is injured. They just want to win. This was supposed to be a strength of our team and now we cant hardly complete a pass...has to be frustrating
No thank you sir. Your routine is comedy to me. Can't wait to see what ulismyman posts next! And btw, I thought our secondary was supposed to be our strength? U think they're frustrated too?Drainrthattub and Screwduke and others..please put me on ignore!!!! Your constant negativity everytime i try to make a point is beyond annoying
How about putting yourself on ignore? You post like a Hoosier.Drainrthattub and Screwduke and others..please put me on ignore!!!! Your constant negativity everytime i try to make a point is beyond annoying
Yeah, thought the bounce pass was much better suited to basketball. This was supposed to be a strength of our team and now we cant hardly complete a pass...has to be frustrating
Mark Stoops must be In seventh heaven not having to pass the ball:football::football::joy::joy::joy::joy::clap::clap:[banana][banana]:sunglasses:Yea I think they understand Johnson is struggling Right now and run game is working so I think they will be patient. Johnson has lost confidence because of some bad throws and near interceptions and is either holding the ball a beat too long (Like Towles used to do) or aiming it. Needs to just let it go on time in rhythm and trust it. Not easy to do but hopefully Hinshaw can fix it.
I always thought the way to fix a lack of confidence is to call set timing throws like quick outs or slants or back shoulder throws. You can because of the near picks he's looking and waiting for the WR to get more open instead of throwing to a spot. Towels did this and it made him throw late and then try to throw harder to fit it in which caused high throw long or made him yip it on short throws.
You are acting disgustingDrainrthattub and Screwduke and others..please put me on ignore!!!! Your constant negativity everytime i try to make a point is beyond annoying

The lack of play making at the receiver position since Cobb left really, is concerning and frustrating.
I've talked about it numerous times over the years.
It is one of the reasons why this team/program has under achieved through the Joker and Stoops era.
In the offensive era of football you have got to put together a competitive receiving group, and you need one game changing play maker. You can get by with one or the other, UK has neither.
We have no clutch 3rd down catcher, no deep threat, no sure fire redzone target, etc.
The thing about the passing attack is that it is the great equalizer in football, kind of like the 3 pt line in basketball.
If you have some sort of ability to produce through the air, you can afford to be average in other areas.
A two or three star receiver with wheels and ability to catch can negate 4-5 star defensive players. Opposing Ds can rush with sec and pro caliber front 8 all they want, but if you can be successful in passing game specifically the intermediate and long range, you can out punch your class.
It's a combination of two very fundamental and obvious things. Evaluating and projecting recruits, as well as developing them in the system. UK has done neither extremely well.
What??? Are you serious? We have a good receiver personnel group right now. They just need the ball served up correctly.
You are acting disgusting
Sometimes good isn't good enough.
Our receptions, YAC, and TDs are nowhere near competitive.
When your QB situation isn't great, when your OL isn't great, when your D isn't great, etc, something has to make up the difference.
I had some really high hopes for our receivers this year, and overall think there is some nice talent in the group, but they haven't risen to the occasion.
Sure, if we had a pass happy offense and a top gun slinger we may be singing a different tune, but that's not the case. The WRs need to over come the lack of those things.
Sometimes the QB and offense can make the receivers, but sometimes the receivers can and need to make the QB/offense.

What an amazing thought given you have no idea or clue why the passing game is ineffective at the moment. This was supposed to be a strength of our team and now we cant hardly complete a pass...has to be frustrating
