Our Worst Talent in 20 years

Maybe one of the most likeable groups and a much more likeable coach, but talent? Elite talent? NBA potential talent? Game changers? Not one. We've got a bunch of tweeners with no chance to make an NBA roster. That's just a fact, bad as I hate it.

Calipari's last few seasons were brutal, but you know what he had every season? Elite talent. He couldn't get them to win in the Dance, but he always had NBA level talent. Pope can't seem to get talent. Role players- 4th, 5th, 6th option players, all on the same team.

He's gonna struggle to get this team to even keep their heads above water. And if his luck doesn't change on injuries, they won't make the postseason, other than maybe an NIT.

Another year without a Stokes or Collins would probably be worse than this year. Either he’ll bring this worthless team back or he’ll be doing it all over again, basically repeating year 1 again in year 3. If he can’t fix this mess this year, another year of Pope will be as meaningless as another year of Joker was.

Likeable? Their effort is like a 6. Their IQ low. This is a very bad UK team with an unforgivable schedule. It will not be easy to make the ncaa. I would say it’s 50/50. That’s not a likeable team to me and pope will kneed to do the right thing and step aside and give us a quality chance to conduct a search.

He has a lottery pick sitting on the bench. No team in America has more than 1 lottery pick on the roster. They should be better than this though. I’m not sure what’s going on. It’s not computing. . The defensive breakdowns seem to be chronic.

Missing the tournament is a very high possibility. At this point I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we do make it. JQ is the wild card. I know he will be a monster on defense but he also can’t shoot. Lowe brings some offense but still not an elite shooter and offers very little defensively. Mo again no offense at all other than put backs and dunks. Even with these 3 I still think the dance is a long shot at this stage. Our pieces just do not fit together.

Scary, isn’t it? Pope has been quite loyal to his favored players. We thought we were done with that with Pope citing statistics, but he’s simply twisted around those stats to push his favorite players. It’s BS.

We were supposed to be done with Calipari, but it feels like more of the same.

I remember in the ESPN movie "3" (about Dale Earnhardt), there was a moment when crew chief "Suitcase Jake Elder" called a young Earnhardt on the radio and asked him: Do you like racing in Winston Cup? If you do, you better start showing something because Waltrip is about to send you back to the short tracks son!". This is where Pope is right now.

Effort? Nonsense. I thought we fought and scrapped on defense and on the boards. We just were overmatched. Offensively we simply don't have elite athletes or shooters.
