Don't understand it. We blitz the LBs and we get sacks and force to throw interceptions. Then all of a sudden we stop, play with 6 guys in the box and they run right thru us.
DJ Eliot is awful. I said it last year. UK barely beat ULL and EKU because his defense is terrible. They fire Dawson and he comes back and owns them and Eliot. Stoops is done. Just a matter of when.
The eku staff out coached stoops last year. That same staff got fired at eku. Stoops is in over his head. He may be a decent coordinator but he doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach.
No other way to spin it. Stoops had to win this game, the crowd showed up for him, and he still couldn't win.
That's the problem with hiring a coach that has no true experience as a head coach (and only being a coordinator).

It does look like it's just a matter of when. The problem is that it would now be a very expensive move to fire Stoops. Barnhart gave Stoops a massive raise and contract extension that will haunt us until we can afford to fire Stoops. Barnhart should be held responsible for his huge mistake, and Barnhart should be fired at the same time as Stoops.
Barnhart has hired two straight coordinators to be an SEC head coach. Both have failed miserably. He was forced to hire Cal. Baseball is a joke. Women's basketball is now a joke. At what point will the madness end? I will tell you- only when he is fired. And the president doesn't have the balls to do it.
Just imagine the crowds now. Gonna get ugly. Brand new facilities and the same old result.
The only dudes I feel sorry are for the rich guys who ponied up the big cash for the boondoggle training facility. Anyone believing and investing in the Team, needs to be sympathized with. They've now been separated with a pile of their cash, patience and DREAM.
I hope these guys mutiny against Mitch and pressure him to hold this **** staff accountable.

I'd open up a lawsuit for deceitful theft of money if I were one of the people who ponied up money for the facilities or upgrades.
Yes it wouldn't win. But if you have the money to waste on a court case and lawyer, it would publically send a message to UK and embarrass Mitch enough to seriously think about going forward with stoops as coach.

It isn't a rare occurrence under Stooops...It's a carbon copy of Joker running around losing and then barely beating WKU, struggling vs. Central Michigan in his tenure. It is happens once...you can try to excuse but when it happens in multiple years...it isn't the exception but the norm.

Stoops and Eliot are possibly the worst two defensive coaches in history.The Florida State thing is an obvious case of dropping in when the players don't have to listen to you. Since those two have been here and coached, ...........
The Stoops and FSU thing was a good story but the year he left and the next year that defense was totally dominant and great on their way to NC. Jeremy Pruitt was DC then.

Eliot needs to go. Period. Hopefully Schlarman will follow him. Our o line is pitiful for the most part.
The coaching is the most demoralizing part of it.
