You are the only one who does not understand a suffix can be used as a noun to refer to a collective group. Not unlike how some use 'eers as a noun for Mountaineers. Or how ideologies can be referred to as squabbling 'isms, such as communism vs capitalism. My only mistake was omitting the apostrophe.
