That's harsh but you're right. The NBA has changed a lot in the past 10 years or so and you've got to be able to shoot now if you're a guard. When it was hand-to-hand combat years ago, you could get away with being a non-shooter. Not now.

We are thinking very much alike. I think Oweh screwed the program by waiting until now to make his announcement. I think he purposely waited for some of the bigger names to leave the portal before his announcement for selfish reasons. If there is a chance to get someone as good or better, I would take that person and let Oweh figure it out. It is unlikely this is a family financial decision because his brother is in the NFL, so he could have waited another year.

When you are capable of generating a thought, it will be your first. There is no way that Oweh didn't realize until today that he wanted to do this. He knew what he wanted to do before the season was over. So, why did he wait until now to do it?

Yes, that is one thing he has to improve upon next year. Can’t just barrel to the basket and flip something up.
I don’t see any way he’s drafted at all, let alone in the first round. He had some great games, but he’s simply not an NBA player right now.

This isn’t the same situation anymore with NIL. Oweh will be back. He’s not getting drafted and will cash a very nice NIL check during his last year at UK.
Your take is correct. He doesn't shoot well enough right now and his ball handling skills need improvement. That's the reason Brea is on the draft board right now and he isn't.
Another year of seasoning and he could be potential All American and a first round pick.
