I saw them at the jamboree at Polk and they looked to be improved from last year ... I don’t think they hang with Chase tho
I think we will pack up the bus and ride on down to Chase and give it the good ole try. Chase has a fine football team. I think we can give them a game though. I feel we are much improved over a year ago
I will say most teams aren’t gonna matchup size wise with Chase up front. Got some big ole hogs
if you say so I don’t think a lot of folks are gonna score on them this year expect POLK and Hendersonville just my opinion their defense is really good I personally think.Not taking anything away from Chase and I’m not predicting a victory but I think we can play within 14. If we are able to stay close who knows what happens. Heritage has no skill guys this year and are very young. We have skill all over the field and are Senior laden
We did a Jamboree with Polk a couple weeks ago and I thought we looked pretty comparable to them if not better on that day
Yeah concession food is good but if you can get to Big Dave’s fish camp before the game you will not be disappointed!!!
If you are interested maybe I could meet you at the game. I always like meeting posters from the boards. Many good folks on here
Big Dave’s is less than 15 mins from stadium on Oak Street. I will not be able to make it to the game.
We got beat by the better team last night no doubt! I wish we hadn’t gave up so much on special teams which just broke our back. We really couldn’t run all night but we were able to throw pretty well when we had time. With the way things look right now in 2a it is wide open and Chase has as good a chance as anyone to win it. The old saying goes ,speed kills!
Maybe young first time as a HC mistake. Didnt spend as much time on special teams as they should have bc he was focused on his offense and defense. I could see that happening to many of a young HC.
I figured as much. I’m not worried. He is a good coach and those kinds of things can be fixed. We have a good football team and staff. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to run the table the rest of the way. I’m not taking anything from Chase. That is one of the best teams at the 2a level in the state. I think those early errors in the kicking game just hurt us too bad to recover. We can hang. We also had our stud player go out after scoring the TD and 2 point conversion and he didn’t return till the 2nd half. We had 4-5 players battling a bug of some sort throughout the game but I’m not making excuses Chase is as good as advertised. With that said they need to control their mouths a little. Coming by our coaching staff and questioning their play calls and knocking our qb to the staff during the game along with taunting. Number 4 is absolutely out of control with his mouth as well. Just play. Let that talk because it can. Penalties will fly at some point if that continues. That crew allowed too much
Being near the end zone standing right on the field you could hear everything they were saying. Terrible representation of the school. Our kids weren’t talking. Just playing. In fact most I heard from our players were complimentary. At one point I heard our stud player complementing how fast MCombs was. I can be proud of the way our players conducted themselves
