Kuchar is like 75 under at The Memorial since 2007, double the next closest.

The Leaderboard was a joke the entire time. At one point Saturday it was

McGirt
Grillo
Hadwin
Curran
Blair
Reifers
Ruffles
Huh

Wtf

Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who gave me a hard time about my thoughts on lessons. I had my first lesson on Saturday, and have five more to go. I feel better about golfing now than I ever have. I'll spend the week on the driving range working on some things, and then off to Gibson Bay next Monday.

Yes, my instructor is a righty. Really nice guy and easy to learn from.

Anyone heading out to Oakmont this weekend? I'm going to Saturday's round. Should be a good time.

Yeah. Absolutely hated. We go to church with him. Good family. But 2nd place moved him into top 25 to get his PGA card back. 11 last week, 2 this week. Playing well after a bad start to the year.
Agree. Was pulling for him. Don't know why he didn't shoot for middle of the green and take chances on making a putt/playoff. Looked to me like he rushed the tee shot and approach on 18.

Going to buy myself a long needed article for Fathers Day, a really nice rain jacket. Going on a big golf trip in August to Whistling Straits and do not want to have to rely on the same old worn out POS I bought years ago.

I looked at Footjoy and Nike at Edwin Watts, about $180 or so? Anybody got a better recommendation?

Anyone hit the Ping G irons?

Are those the super game improvement? My golf buddy just got some Pings and I hit a couple on the range. They have a good feel if you don't mind looking down at a thick top line. He's murdering the 4 iron with them. They remind me of these old Callaway 08's I used to have.

- Played a couple rounds with the new Mizzo 25's. Love them. Then again, I could be hitting a shovel better than I was hitting my TMs after awhile.

I'm back to flat murdering the ball off the tee. On seven drives tonight, my worst was 268. Best was 335, and another was 325. Have witnesses. Used gps to track.

Those slopes and hard fairways are generous at your course, for sure.

Glad to hear you were avg. more than DJ's 317 last week at Memphis.

13 (325...actually goes uphill after about 280-290) and 18 (335...does funnel downhill as you approach the green)

Oh, there was one that I pulled into a tree...hit a limb and went straight down. That one went about 175. Average was definitely less than DJ.

So the 325 drive, you "carried" it approx 300 and then it rolled 25 yards uphill, perhaps? Brooks Koepka, for example, has an avg. carry of 305 per his club stats.

Jamie Sadlowski better watch out.

At least Pope now has company with playing golf and lasering/measuring all your drives. What a bunch of weirdos.

GPS and club tracking did more to deflate the egos of golfers than anything before it. All those 300 yard drives people thought they were hitting suddenly became 250 and those 250-275 yard drives became 200-220.

I won't call Adam out but until I see him hit one 335 in person I'll be on the skeptical side.

No clue about Adam's course....but 300 drives on hard KY courses are not the same thing as the 300 yard drives pros hit on the lush bent fairways that are often mostly carry.

I hit 300 yard drives often enough, when I crush one and the conditions are such that I get a lot of roll or help with the wind -- but I'm not a "300 yard driver", in a true sense like many of the pros. Adam isn't either.

My buddy measures every shot with his watch/app. It's great fun hearing after every drive how far he hit it. Until he can beat me, he can have a couple drives further than me because I'm embarrassing him on the greens.

I am sorry for recording and reporting my yardages. I do not want to be compared to Dr. Boat. I track two or three a round usually. The golfshot app is a handy scorecard tool and a very accurate GPS as well. It's always within a yard or two of my buddies' Garmin or SkyCaddie. $30 for life.
