The gap is going to close, the playing field is going to be level… and every year it gets worse. Just doesn’t seem like there’s any expectations for Iowa wrestling anymore

The reality is, we are going to see really quickly if Beth is a legit AD. This program will not get better under Brands leadership.

I love the fire Brands comments lol as if anyone with common sense thought we'd have a chance... guys penn st is a all world team, what happened was gonna happen 9 out of 10 times... ryder looked decent vs #1, Bailey had a good period, peterson came to scrap, Williams didnt quit, Caliendo was there, PK didnt lose... theres some positives about this dual

It really has nothing to do with results of this one dual. It has to do with the trend of the program over multiple seasons. This was the first year in awhile season tickets didn’t sell out. Why do you think that is? Iowa wrestling is in a precarious position right now, and despite what people think, it could get a whole lot worse very quickly

Spencer has the same amount of college coaching experience that Taylor had when he was hired by Ok State

Sure, but it's silly to suggest Iowa try to poach a current D1 head coach that has a massive contract and a dream job at Ok State. Winning in college wrestling is like 50% recruiting and nobody would be better at attracting elite HS talent than SPENCER FREAKIN LEE

Star and Telford are our assistant coaches. Our team wrestles just like both of them. Tom and Terry, style of coaching doesn't work anymore.
Problem is there are only two that “could” be better than Brands. Dake and Burroughs… Nolf no way, I refuse to drink the PSU cool aid.

that being said if Iowa went with Burroughs, I would be done with Iowa wrestling. That guy reeks of Manning. Those are 2 people I met way back when Burroughs was in college, never have I ever had a warm fuzzy about them. He may be one of the best ever to put on a USA singlet, but he only cares about himself and Manning.
I’d throw the kitchen sink at Dake. He is exciting and well spoken. What a rivalry we could start with Taylor at Okie State, Dake Iowa
