John was at the game yesterday! Not that i'm a n insider or anything .However i've heard rumblings prior to the pandemic of him getting slowly back into the U of L fold again. Alot of times in life entities have issues with each other. But in the end it's all about business and both sides realize you don't have to be friends to make alot of money. Just saying!

We could use his financial support; not a lot of Big Donors left in Louisville who would donate right now.

True. But they are still out there. The issue(s), in my opinion, is our AD's total lack of ability to appeal to the "monied" folks any where close to what Tom Jurich was able to accomplish. I'd hate to see where we'd be without Tom's legacy. VT just isn't a very good athletic director and I urge the University's administration to start looking elsewhere for our athletic leadership and the sooner the better. The problem Papa had/has is he thought he was bigger than the program and he was/is NOT.

Tyra has a few "disconnects" right now. But, when you have zero experience as an AD, that's to be expected, I guess.

Well said GOCDS; I cannot imagine where UL football would be without TJ. I know that we cannot undue the past, or turn the clock back …….but somehow this University and its fan base needs to learn from its mistakes.

PJ was never suited to be on the Board of Trustees, and yet it would be hard to exclude anyone donating that level of money to the school.

I agree about where UL football would be - I hate to think about that. PJ was NOT truly qualified as an educator and a level of donations should not be the deciding factor for an appointment to the BOT. PJ, in my opinion, was an extremely lucky guy.

Explain to me what hasn’t happened? These types of comments about Vince are unfounded. He stated early on he wasn’t going to harass donors constantly for money. He said he would raise funds as needed. And far as I can tell that’s exactly what he’s done.

Ahhh. The living in the past TJ folks. You ever consider that the people TJ was squeezing for money all those years aren't real happy with vacated titles, poor investments, constant scandals, nepotism issues, paying ridiculous salaries to employees within the athletics department..

Thats just a few of the issues Vince is dealing with. Add in new tax laws, covid, the declining interest in attending sports nation wide and our fickle fanbase still living in glory days..

TJ did great things and every fan should be grateful. People just need to realize Vince is dealing with different issues and times than TJ did not to mention the scandal aftermath..

The 2nd to last paragraph says a lot about where we are. I do have faith that we'll recover in due time. Still not sold on our present AD although I'll continue to support him and our University in any way I can.

Anyone that was going to be in the AD position would have this same issue! Their is no one person out their with a magic wand that could' ve made any of that mess disappear. And imop Vince just made sense he's local and understood what had transpired. No one knows of any other local people that wanted it other than ole Jerry Eaves so who would you prefer Vince or him? And you sure didn't want an outsider that has know knowledge of the University's past. I support everyone until they show their incapable of leading competently. And from just my fan view Vince seems to be doing alright. Only the Uof L admin know what job he is really doing. Not any of us!

I’ll never forget ‘13 and yes I want those glory days back.
VT made some statements about our past that ticked me off the first several months he was “acting AD”. He made it sound like things were ran by a group of thugs.
VT then made statements that he was going to get things cleaned up in his holier than thou attitude. IMO, there has been to many issues that doesn’t fit with what we were feed.
VT is the boss. So if folks are doubting VT, that’s understandable. I will never accept we can’t return to the glory days.
Just a die hard bleeding Red & Black Cards fan here that expects the pile on to halt.

Well.... You know, in the aftermath of it all they sure weren't choir boys..

We all want '13 back but that was once in a lifetime. I want $10 million dollars and a yacht in Marina Del Rey but I can't get that either.. 😆

Yes and we were told we were becoming the choir boys. I’m still waiting.
I hope you got caught up on the rest of the story on the so called Dr James Ramsey, who we were told was a no good stealing Pres. He wasn’t! But millions were spent. He had thousands of wealthy Cards friends in this community and state. Wonder how they feel about giving their money now?
PJ was in on the take down. He can rot in hell!

Not sure we will ever know the actual truth of all that and we may be better off if it doesn't come out.

I'm saying those people are no longer willing to give generously and the reasons are probably different from one to another. Some may not want to donate because of the way things were handled others may not donate because of the way their money was handled.

Bottom line is, live in the past and be miserable or help build the future and make it better..

Red, I wasn’t living in the past until the truth came out on the Ramsey deal. I can’t imagine folks being so vindictive and the why’s.

No matter what was printed or reported, JR acted in UofLs BEST interests AT THAT TIME.

He got ousted for it.

We are where we are now looking up to see bottom.

But I feel pure as the driven snow.

No. I won’t.

You doin’ the hatin’

Look it up.

UofL was making millions

what are we making now?
El Chapo made millions too look where he's at.

If the object is to just make money regardless of how, there's all kinds of ways to do it. Just depends on what risks you're willing to take and what you're willing to lose.

I'm not 'hatin" on anything..

ALL we do is worry about MONEY.

ACC money vs G5 money.

Don’t act like we aren’t selling our soul.
