How are everybody's number looking? I heard that Pulaski had 57 out but that must just be for varsity. I know that numbers were down last year in a lot of places.

That will be an interesting thing to track and compare. A bit early to see any numbers that can be believed. Probably best to see what the roster numbers are after the first full week is in the books.

My gut tells me the numbers will be steady to slightly larger this season.

I hope you are right about participation increasing but I fear that it will move the other direction. I'm afraid that the reports of CTE in NFL players will continue to give parents pause when it comes to letting their sons play football. For the record, I think is foolish to compare an NFL player who played in a bygone age with far inferior equipment to the modern game.
Personally I have implicit trust in most high school coaches and teaching methods and would have few reservations about letting my kids play high school football. I hope parents will do their own research and not just take the Today Show or some crazy Facebook story as their sole source of knowledge.
