Hey, they exceeded expectations with tosu’s bed wetting. Good for them. And as you say, extend the twinkies.
In all honesty, they’ve had a very good tournament. And if them finishing 4th means Ohio State finishes 5th and off the podium with all their B1G awards, I’m all for it.
Yes, when is the last time they exceeded expectations. Good for Iowa.

After the season they’ve had this is an incredible performance.
Good to see somebody like Block that actually wrestles exceed expectations. Although I have nothing personal against Kueter, he’s kinda lucking out against a generally weak 285 class with hang on for dear life top game. Hope Kennedy goes out with a good result as well.
Next years squad will be a notch below this years unless they win big in the portal. Who will they poach?
Iowa is like an older pack animal in a dog sled team. With age, the old dog has been shuffled towards the back of the gangline, but, he still works hard. Unfortunately younger and stronger dogs await in the dog yard. The future is rather clear in this regard. Iowa is not our top rival anymore. They are simply a dog scrapping in the rear. We need to be watchful for the Okie & Hokie teams that are moving towards the front. The next 3-4 years are going to be super exciting and Iowa won’t be in the mix until they show TNT the door.
Iowa has fallen so far that we are happy for them when they do well and rooting for them against against at least two other teams.

They wrestled above their seeds and are at 4/5 in the team standings. How the expectations have changed there.
Could be. However, not understanding their place in college wrestling hierarchy they will feel the overwhelming need to return to brutal 3 a days so they can win the championship.
