I am sad to report my former Penn State teammate Jack Inserra has passed. Jack was a 1981 New Jersey State Champion. He wrestled a few years at PSU and finished up playing football for Joe Paterno! He was an awesome human being and great friend! His son Jack Jr. is having a great year playing football at Bucknell.
Just has dinner with him. He talked about how happy he was with his life. He was recently engaged. His son was having a great year at Bucknell and he never seemed happier. He will be dearly missed.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I actually remember him from NJ wrestling. Didn't know he went to Penn State. Fantastic wrestler.

I remember him a bit. Sorry to hear the news. I believe Birch Hall passed away a couple years back - also way too young.

Do you happen to recall a 2 year HWT named Dave Brenneman who was a freshman in 1982? I think Jan Johnson and those three all overlapped in the room.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Sounds like a guy who was at peace.

to the above mention of Dave Brenneman; not to be confused with Dan Brenneman (Hollidaysburg) who wrested in the early 70’s.

Condolences to you. Did he wrestle at Watchung Hills Regional in high school? That name is familiar to me - I'm in Somerset County (NJ).
