The inspiration was in his pocket.

Blackburn is pastor of Elevate Church in Prestonsburg, according to a LinkedIn profile. He is also the owner of Giovanni's, a pizza restaurant in Prestonburg.

That surname has had a lot of issues with underage girls lately.

People like him are the worst. All sorts of corruption out there in the world, escoeially from those who claim to come in the name of the Lord. Reading the article didn’t make me think any better of him either.

At the doctor yesterday, wife and I ran into one of her old friends. They got to talking, and since I'm nearly deaf I don't hear much. In the cat she asked me what I thought about the situation. Since I didn't hear it, she had to give me a synopsis.... woman hasn't seen her son since he got out of prison. What's he in prison for? Getting mouthy on the internet. You dont go to prison for that. I reply. Well he was telling people he was molesting his little sisters. But he didn't. No. I tell her. No one brags about molesting their sisters as a lark. He did it, he should be in jail for ever.(I'm against capitol punishment for religious reasons)

I don't buy it. Where's the crime? Creepy as hell, sure, but wouldn't that be the equivalent of a shock-comedian telling an extremely inappropriate joke? I get that the preacher is in trouble because he was actively soliciting minors, but I can't see someone going to jail for bragging about an an illegal thing that never happened. I'm not sure what law that breaks other than the laws of good taste and common decency.

If you're preaching in Prestonsburg you're not a democrat. Child molester, sure, but not a damn democrat.
