I think Pat is a great idea for a lot of programs, I dont think you follow Franklin with a defensive minded guy that really ended poorly on/off the field at Northwestern. Id think hed be a great hire at developing or middling smaller programs.

We should have hired Pat when we hired O'Brien but this isn't a return to coaching job for him. I hope he gets the OK State job or VA Tech

I like him a lot but I don't know if he has many recruiting ties in PA, NJ, MD, VA area.

I would look at him at perhaps the defensive coordinator level, but not beyond that.
