If you are going to preach patience in our rebuild process, don’t get embarrassed on national TV by a team with a 1st year HC who

1. Went 3-9 last year
2. Lesser recruiting rankings
3. Lower commitment to football and NIL.

Sure, they have 14 starters who transferred in, but 9 of them came from James Madison.

Indiana is whooping our *** because they have much better coaching and their players want it more

Rhule is not a good coach. And he hires terrible coaches. We need all new offensive coaches, a DC that runs a tough 4-3, and ST coach that doesn’t have his old head up his old fvcking ***

Rhule needs to go.
Seems reasonable.

So should every program they beat get this same lecture? Should all programs fire all their coaches after getting beat by these guys?

Rhule will get two more years, and if they both suck, he's gone. No damn 5th season if he has two more losing ones. I expect a winning team next year, but it may not happen.

I like Coach Rhule. But we need to look at the fact that the first half against Colorado, and maybe the second half against Purdue, are the only two half’s of good football we've played all year. This needs to start getting better now.

Cignetti is a good coach even with his lack of experience on this level. That said I do agree this is embarrassing. Figured we'd lose but at least put up a fight.

If the athletic department truly cared they would fire Rhule after the season(baring a miraculous late season comeback). Making him gut his staff is reminiscent of Frost’s last year. It’s simply a lost cause.

This was the year. He has a veteran team and has had 2 years to install systems.

Going to be a long couple of weeks with fans and the team. The IU team is good. Watching them they do a ton right. They will be a factor later in the season it appears.

NU needs better: coaching, players, focus, desire, bus drivers, water, and a 1,000,000 other things that will be said. This game hurts the rep and the psyche. Ohio State game looks much less likely to win for sure. The remaining games, who knows in this moment.

Still see an 8-4 season as possible. Steps forward and steps back. Not easy to fire people that are friends but sometimes it’s needed.

Staff changes and continued upgrades across the board are needed. Throwing money at football problems works as well as throwing money at problems in education. Use the NIL money to find guys that want to be at the school, not just for the bag. Coaches who will teach and do the little things that make the game more simple for the players to play fast.

Nope, no patience. This is a new era of college football. There is NO reason for this. None. Zero. Zip.

Cignetti flipped his roster in 1 year. I think we can expect Rhule to flip his in 2-3 years. Next year is big for Rhule.

He got his QB and is wasting him. He's not a good coach and there's no time time for patience. You'll be left behind.

So much more reasonable being punked on national TV by a first year HC. Indiana got it right. Nebraska looks exactly the same in year 2. But keep beating that Rhule drum. Seem reasonable

Indiana is not as good as this game says. They are better than NU. But not this much better. NU is laying a turd.

We need to go out and spend whatever it takes on a damn offensive line. The fact that Benhart is even still on the team says everything.

We need to fire Foley, Satt, Raiola, and the WR coach. We can't fire Raiola bc we're married to the QB.

There's getting beat, and then there's having your manhood stolen from you.
And it's not about this game. It's about failing to be prepared and show up over and over and over. If he was volunteering that would be one thing, he's getting 10 million dollars a year. My feeling is, at this level of football, you should get a win for every million you spend.

Better, not better, how? It’s not a matter of talent. We have better talent. It’s about coaching, preparation, motivation., and game planning.

Indiana believes they can go to toe with anyone and they prepare that way. Then, series after series, they make more positive plays than we do. They beat blocks, they break tackles and they don’t make the same mental mistakes. It’s small and it’s subtle, but it makes all the difference in the world.

OL is something you should be able to develop. Well that is if you don't have a lard *** worthless coach. The big bucks should be spent on skill position players.

We need a 6 game season, thats when we peak. Its all downhill from there.
This game is inexcusable. It’s a complete failure in all phases on both sides. That said, it’s going to be very interesting to watch IU going forward. Their QB had a fingernail torn off on his throwing hand. I’ve done that. It was excruciatingly painful for weeks.

IU looks legit.

It made zero difference. Their backup still ran circles around us. I just don't think we are much more than a 5 to 7 win team.
