This is great! Hopefully we can land some of these kids, but it's nice just to be able to discuss recruiting, and the offers we are putting out.

Years ago friend of mine was approached by a Rutgers assistant , I believe it was during the FHJ tenure. Coach was looking for a job for a middle schooler's mom because the middle schooler was looking to relocate to the area and attend the then st Patrick's . But the kid's mom needed a job in the area because she would need to move as well , commuting distance was too far . Basically , the deal was whatever college got the kid's mom a job would be the college he would go to after st . Pats .
My friend wasn't able to help , but just goes to show you how recruiting is a very, very shady business.

Is ex-Rutgers coach Mike Rice the head coach at the Patrick School? Would he be rolling out the Scarlet carpet for the new Rutgers staff? Figure he might roll out the red carpet for Jamie Dixon or Phil Martelli, first.

He was coaching there on a temporary basis.

I'm quite sure Mike Rice knows that it was Eric Murdock and a scandal driven media that did him in, not Rutgers. We bought out his whole contract. Never asserted that we were firing him for cause. He was basically just relieved as HC. I would think he feels Rutgers did him a solid all things considered.

This is true. He actual feels terrible about what happened. I think most of all he's upset that he let alot of people down, particularly Tim Pernetti.

I doubt he will hesitate helping the new staff.
