Potential, potential, potential. I personally don’t see him being drafted until maybe really late in the later rounds. But someone will waste a 3 rd or 4th round pick on him and take a chance that he hits the weights and can help out down the road. I am with the majority and think one more year under Coach would be best, but, whatever he chooses I hope it is the best decision for his life and he is very successful at whatever he does.

I’d rather have Bruner from Yale. Tape seems like another Javin. Averaged 3 fouls a game while only averaging 21 minutes played. And that’s against much lesser competition. Imagine how much he’d struggle staying on the floor during ACC play.

He has size and experience, meaning hes not a 17 year old freshman, and next years team will desperately need a second big. So I think it would be a great pickup if he came. Next years team will be really young. Have to have some experience. Get him

The same Matt Hurt that played for us?
I was being sarcastic. To me, the one and done era is killing college basketball - so frustrating to watch. You can’t really invest too much into the players.

Too many kids with valid yet undeveloped potential get fed BS and leave too early, then their careers never materialize. Hard to feel bad for them when that happens. Meanwhile, their university is left to overhaul the roster - it’s turned roster management into “throw sh*t against the wall and see what sticks.”

Respectfully, I disagree. I always get invested in the kids that put on our uniform. I will grant you that we don't get to see the same career arc, but it's easy for me to get invested.

Perhaps it's talent, or maybe just abbreviated investment, but players like Hood, Winslow, Tyus, and Barrett were much improved players by the end of their single years at Duke.

Certainly, the investment is shorter, but I have no problem making it.

Wait....he was picked already?

I thought he was still in cheater heel just to class but not on the active roster for the next 2 years learning the complicated unc system. I thought he is do to come back in 2022 with three years of eligibility left. OFC

Late to the party. Great get by Duke. We are going to be super young in the frontcourt, and Williams is raw and a huge question mark as a freshman. Experience, height and scoring. If he gives us 8 and 6 it's huge.
