I think you made a good decision mr. Tape. Maybe things will somewhat be back to normal by basketball season
Welcome back but I want to see you signed, in class and in a Duke uniform . OFC
I wonder if he’s coming back because he was informed someone (or multiple) is leaving that he thought was staying.
If we are not able to play basketball this fall I think we could probably win the league in team jeopardy. Tape and the Greensboro day addition should boost our academic standings.
Wow this is good news. We need depth and experience up front. Now if Hurt comes back we're good to go.

Another positive is he didn't pick Syracuse, who is pretty set at the other positions.
I had no inclinations that Carey was coming back, but I think this probably puts a fork in that.
I don’t see K letting him leave to explore other options then come back when those options don’t pan out..
The only thing I can think of is: he committed.. found out somebody he expected to leave “might” not be leaving (Hurt and/or Vernon)..backtracked.. then was told Hurt and/or Vernon are actually leaving and it was all a misunderstanding.
Or it could just be a weird situation where he got cold feet then someone talked to him and made him feel better about the situation.
Same here.. I figured Vernon was 98% gone regardless.. Tape coming back tells me Vernon is 100% gone.. no chance Tape comes to Duke if he’s having to go against 2 true Centers for playing time - with one of them being a possible Lottery pick and the other being a top 30ish 7 footer..
I don’t think this says much about Hurt staying/leaving though.. Hurt isn’t really a threat to take any real minutes from the 5 position.

-From everything I've read, Hurt wants to be back at Duke, it's his family/friends that think K screwed him over last year (take it for what it's worth.)
-No one knows anything on Cassius except that he's been teasing everyone with possibilities.
-Nothing on Big Vern, I would think Tape' recommitting means he knows Vern is gone.

I think it probably helps with Hurt, as far as further allowing him to play his natural position. That probably makes him feel more comfortable about returning.
I’m seeing people say on twitter that they’re taking Buckmire off his scholarship. Who knows if it’s credible but I feel like they’d only do that if they were making room for someone. We’re at 10 scholarship players right now which would leave room for 3 more. We’re only waiting on decisions from Hurt, Vern, and Cassius.
That is valid, Buckmire will not be on scholarship.

What I do know, A LOT could happen to the Duke roster between now and August. I'm open to anything, Cassius and Hurt both coming back, a Kuminga reclass, another grad transfer, whatever.
Something is up with Rivals right now. Over the weekend I did a standard update on my phone. When I do that I have always had to log back on to the site....which is no big deal. Well, I'm not able to log in on my iPhone at this time. I'm scared to log out on my PC now because I'm worried I'll be locked out altogether. It did let me log in from our family iPad and one of my kids' Kindles, so not sure why I can't on my phone.
My Iphone wont log me on either, thats that only way I'm able to post any links.
No issues on my computer though. It allows me to log off (to check the madness at Rupp Rafters) and log back in.
Ok....then I'm not the only one. I'm not going to push my luck and log out, though. This is one of the places I come these days for some sanity and to breakaway.

Sorry, for the lack of clarity. It does benefit Hurt to stay and complete against all those coming in.
No way is he physically prepared to play in the NBA or G - League. However, why lose a starting position and compete for minutes?
It not a popular explanation, but it's the reality of many 5 star played who had mediocre freshman years, and the next wave of 5/4 star recruits are coming in.

Don’t think there is any sources saying Hurt is leaving. Don’t believe the Tape for Hurt spot. If anything most out there have hurt coming back or not transferring anyways
I don’t see Kuminga coming to Duke. Especially not this year but i don’t see him coming to Duke at all.
If Hurt comes back, we are going to see a lot of Jalen Johnson and/or Wendell Moore playing SG.. which isn’t a bad thing.. will give us a very big lineup.
