I don't know how widespread (if at all) the Paul Finebaum show is in Kentucky. Of course he has his TV show most weekday afternoons on the SEC Network.
His show is broadcast on (by far) more Alabama outlets than any other state. His show almost exclusively focuses on sports -- mostly college football, especially the SEC.
He interviews sports personalities and has some eccentric callers. Some are lucid; some just rant.
In the beginning of each football season back in the 1990's Finebaum ranked the SEC football head coaches. He explained that he would always start with Spurrier at #1 and Bill Curry as last.
Though he grew up in Memphis and is a UT grad, he knows which side his bread is buttered. So he is generally pro-Alabama.
Anyway last week when Saban was voted SEC Coach of the Year (and Finebaum LOVES him some Saban), Finebaum said he would have voted for Stoops.
I think it was this Wednesday that there was a caller from Kentucky who asked Finebaum who he picks to win the Tax Slayer Bowl. Finebaum picks Kentucky. "I'm all in on Kentucky."
