This is his last UK-related tweet. Maybe he thinks we won and is coming on to discuss the bowl ...

...and then Forrest heaved the ball up into the stands...wonder how Coach Brooks would have handled that one???

Pretty much summed up what everyone has said on here. UK's QB play was not up to par, we were lacking play makers that he had and recruited. He mentioned Cobb, Burton, Stevie Johnson. He kept going back at least 3 times to say that QB must be solid and make plays. Pretty well told and think coming from him that it lends to people who say this was a position that was not played very well or coached. Fans not just calling for PT's head or being in Barker's corner. Rich said it shows you must have good QB play, he did not say great. He also said it was due to bad Special teams play.

He was complimentary of Stoops, saying UK can in times get in the mix, new additions, need play makers
Threw in crack that some of things going up were promised to him.

Said when you get in mid 60's that coaching changes or can, mentioned Saban, Beamer, All involves Recruiting.

Just paraphrasing most of his comments, very interesting and no nonsense that shoots straight.
IMO

Don't forget the part where Brooks called next year a "watershed" (aka, make-or-break) year for Stoops and his staff. Probably an important part not to leave out since we're paraphrasing and all

Absolutely but most people with half a brain know next year is a watershed moment for Mark Stoops. I mean Rich was under same guise his fourth year.

He also talked about how difficult it is to win here and the difficulty of playing in the SEC.He implied that you can't go from where we are to 9 or 10 win seasons in one year but that getting to a bowl (any bowl) is an important step)

Looking back, it's interesting that a pretty decent portion of the fan negativity didn't stop until after UK beat Clemson in the Music City Bowl at the end of year 4. I am just thankful that Barnhart is able to tune out the "noise" & that he is able to look at the situation objectively. Otherwise Brooks would've never made it to his first bowl game.

This. Some of the simple minded fans we have believe he should get 5 or 6. Go right ahead and keep having that simpleton thought process. Next year is definitely make or break for stoops if you like it or not.

IMHO.... In regards to fan negativity starting to really hinder the program? Yes.. In regards to him losing his job? Probably not unless next season totally hits rock bottom.

Irregardless, it would be better to wait & revisit this topic late next season Doing so now can only hinder the program and it won't change a thing in regards to coaches job security.

Correct. I was at the last game of the season (senior night against Louisiana-Monroe) and at one point a camera pointed at a kid holding a sign that said "We Believe in Rich Brooks" or something similar and a large portion of the crowd started laughing.

Exactly... It's like we are watching that very same movie all over again.
