It was reported that Campbell was about PSU's 6th choice. Their AD did the worst thing you can do is not talk to the agents of your top choices to see if they want the PSU job before the fired Franklin. PSU is a stained job and now it is a loser job

They were down for quite awhile even before the scandal. Not missing a bowl game bad, but not good.

See Nebraska (and others). Nothing is automatic based on legacy

How far back is the question. Franklin had 3 10+ win seasons in a row before getting canned. I doubt Matty will get them back there.

No. It's time people moved on from this. Not FORGET it, it was beyond sickening. Paterno's legacy is forever tarnished as are the others who turned a blind eye to Sandusky's abuse.

But the guilty parties have been gone for years. They cleaned house. The people there now are trying to rebuild.

From what I understand, there’s still a significant population of fans/donors that want to celebrate/rebuild JoePa’s legacy. I’m not sure if the university has/hasn’t been involved in that effort.
