We can ***** and moan about the Ledger all we want, but these arrests should never ever happen. Kyle can't recruit and he can't coach, so we end up with too many fringe kids.. And this is the result
Sad for me to see a Linden kid go the wrong way. Looking at that photo from signing day I was trying to see if I know who his parents are, but I don't believe so. Long time since I've lived in town however.
I met his mother 2 years ago at Lady Knight Football Camp. Ended up sitting with her at the post camp dinner table. Very nice woman who was very happy about her son playing for RU and proud of him and his success. It's truly a shame that these young men, who are given the opportunity of a lifetime, throw it all away.
And how exactly are you going to do that? You can't ban someone from hanging out in New Brunswick. No idea where you live, but do you have any idea how many people in NB have never set foot in a Rutgers classroom, let alone on the campus?
Shill notice I said Rutgers. If this incident occurred in NB there is a very good chance he was on campus. To take it further any current player associating with him should be made aware they will be removed from the team
The way it's going he may soon have more arrests than total wins.
The head coach has already said he can't (and should't) control the players' relationships when they're outside the Hale Center. All he can do is remind them to make smart choices.
I think we're kidding ourselves if we believe there aren't plenty of players who are still friends with Msrs. Boggs, Barnwell, Stephenson and Peele.

Seems that he gave Barnwell and Peel the opportunity to change but it certainly seems it is now zero tolerance. From what I understand, a couple of the kids kicked out due to the fight, met the consequences of zero tolerance.
As others also stated, Peele was recruited by the white knight. And even Greg made it clear he couldn't do a damn thing 24x7. No excuse for what some of these kids have done but it seems that it is more about taking a risky chance and hope a kid grows up in the program.

I'd imagine there are--or at least used to be--some hard *** coaches out there who have ways of making the more unruly players feel they are being watched 24/7.
