Yeah I think I'm trading my black and gold for black and orange my money will be worth guys going out and wrestling instead of I'm sitting out ss to be prepared for Wisconsin and be gas out against Penn State.

If these refs ever start calling PSU for moving forward, taking shots, wrestling with both knees up in neutral and not laying flat on their belly's, things will really start to change!

Both are a bad look for sure. I hated RBY doing it, but it was a tactic for one dude. This is legit how Ferrari approaches every match. Should be BJ Ferrari with all that time on his knees.

It's hard to believe. I mean did you see his stare down before the match and his awesome celebrations when he beats guys he should? He's so likeable and aggressive!
RBY would get more takedowns in one of those one-armed matches than AF will the entire Big Ten season.

Well Ferrari was pretty psyched after that what 2 to 1 or three to victory against the Iowa State guy? I forgot did that go to overtime?How on earth did Rocco even wrestle that match? Did you see the incredibly "mean" stare down that Ferrari gave him during the handshake.
Honestly, I think next time Ferrari should do the stare down from one knee. It was sad to see such a great guy like him from such a great family come up short.
Anyone else catch Rocco stare down Brands after beating Angelo? It was widely known that Rocco wished to be a Hawk and TnT never made contact. Oof

Wasn't the first time. He's just not a heavyweight and these big guys are just wearing him down. Keauter isn't that big and he still wore out. It's always gonna be problem for him I'm afraid. Hope I'm wrong but with his frame, I don't see him ever getting much bigger than he is now.
I think you need to look at the positives here. Terry didn't get deducted a team point this year for yelling something obscene...so that's something.
My honest thoughts:
125 - I thought this was a great match between two great wrestlers. I thought Dean came to scrap.
133 - Again, two great wrestlers going at it.
141 - Bailey did what he had to do and rode the takedown to a victory. He wrestled smart.
149 - You can't be upset with Block's effort. I was actually pretty impressed.
157 - Again, at the half way point, every match was a battle. I don't think Williams ever really challenged Duke, but, he certainly fought hard
165 - I don't know how you can get down on Caliendo. Mitchell is just an alien. The more aggressive you are against him, the worse things will go for you. Just like the Hidlay's, Mikey is simply blocked by an all-timer
174 - The Brands were proven right putting Gabe out there. He did what he was asked to do
184 - Angelo is tough to score on, but, with all that talent, that just isn't enough. Welsh isn't necessarily an offensive machine, but, he definitely was the more aggressive wrestler
197 - Barr is a machine, and there isn't much to talk about in this one
285 - Both of these guys struggle against the big guys. It just looked like Mirasola was out there to win and Kueter was wrestling with caution.

MSU laughed at all of us for even suggesting Iowa do whatever it took to get Taylor a couple years back. Taylor hasn't done anything yet but it's coming. I'm gonna throw the next name out there that within the next 10 years is gonna be a hot commodity and will become the sports next young great coach....Mitchell Messenbrink. Hopefully schools laugh at the idea like MSU will and PSU keeps him in their fold. Kids wrestling mind is gonna be lights out after learning from Dad, Ben Askren and Cael Sanderson.
This is the kind of thinking that gives us this result. The goal is to win. Everyone was wrestling not to lose, or to keep it to a decision.

You are correct, right now thrre are only two teams that wrestle ok state and Penn state. Everyone else let's keep it close or one shot at end will win.
We screwed iowa by pitching by the way they wrestled 10 years ago. We don't know how to scramble. We still don't and now we can't finish shots can't get off bottom oh and ride and the guys say that's what they work on. The latest, we gas.
Either replace the staff or go back to iowa style.
