Please use this thread for all in-tournament and post-tournament discussion of the Black Knight Invitational.

PSU seems to have pulled the Match Notes from GoPSUsports.com, so I'm not dealing with my normal amount of information in preparing the match/tournament thread.

When:
Nov. 23, 10:00 am EST

Where:
West Point, NY

TV:
none

Video Streaming:
subscribers of FloWrestling can access the video stream of the tournament.

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-tournament portion of the broadcast will begin at 9:40 am EST, with the actual tournament starting at 10 am EST. You can access the audio stream at:

gopsusports.com

Lion Vision

gopsusports.com
gopsusports.com

Once there, scroll down, find Wrestling: Black Knight Invitation, and press the arrow in the button to the left of that text.

PBP:
I have something all day on my schedule, so I'm out for PBP. I didn't check with @GregPickel about his availability, but I'm sure he'll let us know after he finishes his coverage responsibilities for tonight's PSU football game. Here's hoping @SlipperyPete and/or others from the BWI community will step forward, and provide PBP, thoughts, analysis, etc. during the tournament. Tournaments are a bit more of a challenge to cover than a dual is. it helps if folks can post in advance which mat PSU wrestlers will be on, and then to provide periodic updates of how the various PSU wrestlers have done throughout the day, while also covering the individual matches. I have very little free time on Sunday, but during the little I have, I'll be checking this thread to see how the PSU wrestlers are doing.

Finally gave in, got flo. Looking forward to the Penn State wrestle offs
I was going to until I saw i either have to drop $29 for a month or over 120 something bucks for the year. Thought I'd find a free trial. Ill just keep the big ten/big ten plus subscription for the meat of the schedule and listen to the radio for the early season stuff like I have done previously. It's nostalgia anyways. My grandfather used to listen to all of the matches on the radio. Better commentary that way anyways

Nasdeo vs Frezza QF
Perry vs Fedalen QF
Duke vs Sealey Final
Mitchell vs Filipowicz Final

Looks like Cael got his preference at most weights. Only disappointed that we didn’t get Cochran on Colbert’s (ranked top 15) side.

Well you may find, as many here also most likely, that $30 is justifiable, since the next 3 duals and the collegiate duals are all broadcast ONLY on Flo in terms of live video, and most importantly all fall within a 30 day window.

5 total PSU events for $30 falls within my window of stomaching Flos BS price. The rest of the season gives us no more Flo coverage of PSU, so one month it is.

This was my exact thought when I decided to pull the trigger this morning. One month of Flo, how much stress can it actually cause? 😆

And at HWT that was a match they wanted to happen and that's why they're on the same side

133 R16- Marcus Blaze vs. Jackson Baglio (GWU)

Period 1:
No sign of Blaze yet, but Baglio is out pacing around the mat. Here comes Cody & Blaze. Time to roll! Hand fighting & tying up. Blaze with a hard snap. Heavy collar ties & hand fighting in the center. Baglio is stocky. Blaze reaches for an ankle, but no luck. Back to tying up & hand fighting. Blaze pushes forward a bit, then snags an ankle & finishes the TD, 3-0. He cuts Baglio, 3-1. Blaze shoots quickly & is in on a leg. He comes behind & finishes another TD on the edge, 6-1. He has an arm barred & is looking for a tilt, but they go out of bounds, restart. No back points. Baglio is still down. He works to his feet & rolls, then again, but Blaze stays with him & they go out of bounds, restart. Baglio is still down. Blaze locks up a quick tilt & adds 3 NF, 9-1. He hits another tilt & gets 4 NF this time, 13-1. Blaze is working for a cradle & locks it up. He rolls Baglio back over, then adjusts & gets 4 NF more for the 17-1 Tech.

Marcus Blaze TECH Jackson Baglio (3:00)

I missed a point somewhere. Nagao snatches a leg & gets another TD, 13-3. He adds 3 NF more, 16-3. Helms gets a stall warning. Stalemate & restart. Helms is still down. Nagao cuts him, 16-4. Circling & hand fighting. Nagao reaches for a leg. Helms counters. Nagao counters again & they're scrambling head to feet. Stalemate & restart. The period quickly ends after that.
