Listening to Jeff Byers, aka Ironhead, is such a treat in a tournament. Reminds me of Christmas morning when my kids would be opening gifts and squealing in joy with their gifts. Ironhead is expressing excitement of a takedown and all of a sudden someone is getting back points on the adjacent mat. His voice rises and you feel as though you are right there and then the fall is called. Sheer delight.
Yea, he’s sort of like a happy auctioneer in tournaments with simultaneous action

Just for kicks, could you go to HR and do some pbp on their first match or Twooo. I realize even you have pain limitations.
Here is the template

Period 1: Lots of hand fighting. No serious shot attempts and it ends 0-0
Period 2: wrestler 1 chooses bottom and is up and out. No serious shot attempts and the period ends 1-0
Period 3: wrestler 2 chooses bottom and is up and out. No serious shot attempts and the period ends 1-1
SV1: 1 minute in and no serious shot attempts. Iowa takes first shot and takedown awarded. 4-1 Iowa

I think this can be copied for at least 5 of the weights

Nagao has Hunter Mason next. Wasn’t Mason a pretty good recruit? Like top 50ish kind of guy?

I just went and looked and it is the kid I was thinking about. He transferred to Chattanooga from VaTech. He was a 4X Tennessee state champion in hs. He was #85 on FLO’s 2023 big board

looking back at some of the big boards is really interesting. In 2022 they have Levi Haines #7 and Mesenbrink #53! The top 3 were Jesse Mendez, Feldman, and Bouzakis. In 2023 they have Barr #7 and Kasak #10. The top 6 were Meyer Shapiro, Kueter, McEnelly, Brayden Thompson, Gabe Arnold, and Rocco Welsh. Pretty sure the takeaway is go to PSU is you want to level up

Sulayman Bah has some real talent but puts himself in bad spots and gets discouraged too easily. I've watched him lose a bunch of matches he was winning and should have won. Lilledahl won't have trouble though.

In other Columbia news, Beau Bartlett, training at the NYRTC, was at the Michigan dual Friday night in Columbia gear. Not an assistant (Seabass has that slot) but seemed tight with some of the guys, including Cesar Alvan (165), probably the best podium hope Columbia has going.
