So, next year (26-27): Desmond-Ono-Blaze-SVN, with LL in RS?

Year after (27-28): Desmond-LL-Blaze, with Sidun in RS. Or Sidun-LL-Desmond-Blaze? Or...Sidun-Desmond-LL-Blaze? I think Marcus could get a lot bigger if he wanted. Or take an OLY RS.

The pressure to ALWAYS win must be suffocating! Glad that LL can drop one to a teammate, relieving that pressure, w/o ranking consequence.
He'll likely drop in the rankings and should.

This match doesn't count toward NCAA seeding criteria such as W-L % and RPI. There could be an indirect effect on the coaches' poll when that finally comes out in a few months, especially when Ryan's 37 votes are counted.

But seriously, it won't matter. All AA candidates except Seymour and Poulin have losses. Seymour will on 12/7. Lilledahl will be the 1 seed at NCAAs.

I didn't see any of this, so how about an honest, not overreacting opinion by some who did, how good are Desmond and Sealey?

Luke is still better than Desmond, I chock it up to the conservative approach to the match and room familiarity. He knows all of Luke's tricks. Desmond on redshirt is a no brainer not worthy of even a single thought.

Very similar to PJ and Sealy. Sealy is looking sooo much better than last year, but I think that was just a very conservative match, PJ almost had several TDs.

Nagao, how can you not feel for the kid. I watched it a number of times, looked like a broken wrist to me 4-6 weeks which if accurate makes a decision pretty difficult.

Never put too much into matchups with teammates. It’s why I never faulted Cael when he’d just have the guys avoid these matchups. They wrestle in the room all the time, so much familiarity that can lead to results like we saw today. I do think Sealey and Desmond are both talented guys. There’s a chance Desmond sees the lineup in the future, Sealey I’m not sure where he slots.

They are who most thought they were when they committed which are high level recruits capable of landing on the podium. The problem they will have is that national champion caliber are in front of them but they have the chance in the future to compete and earn the spot. If something happens to the starter we have someone backing up who will score points.

I think we need to suck Sealey down to 125 because we’re doomed otherwise because dT

Nobody is going up 2 weight classes. Next year, maybe 1.

Seriously bummed for Aaron if his injury is serious.

But we have crazy good depth this year, with super talented wrestlers ready to step in at every weight, if needed. I mean with Sealy’s performance, seems we have 3 studs at 157. 😳
