I’ve come to the conclusion that 90 percent of posters here are only happy when they have something to ***** about. And the all consider the remaining 10 percent stupid PSU homers.

Ninety percent of the board have come to the conclusion the two of you are the same poster. The other ten percent are drunk.

May be cheesy as an adult but as a high school athlete trying to figure out where to go and play in college in those areas just may sway some big recruit. I think it is a good idea. We may just get some of those players that put us at the top. I am curious if any of the other top programs in the nation do this? or is PSU on the cutting edge here?
Hope they are up in Columbus then.

"hopefully recruits and high school coaches, to see that PSU sends a pantload of guys to the NFL"
Exactly my point. When I look at that billboard, I don't see that. NFL logo should be more predominant somewhere.
Doesn't matter ... this is a trivial argument. If James Franklin is relying on billboards for recruiting help, we have bigger problems.
Holy Fock, you guys are miserable. If he wasn’t doing this people would be like “he is mailing it in” “he doesn’t need to work as hard because of his big contract” etc. as a player who may be coming to PSU as a recruit, seeing that on the road would be pretty cool, that is the intention.

Microscopic ROI. Doubt they ever thought about what the numerator is. But it sounds good.

Billboards are for alcohol, strip clubs, Steven Singer, and shore acts.

Actually, Bison, I'm the complete opposite of miserable. Pretty happy and content at the moment :) I really don't care how Penn State football chooses to market their program. Doesn't affect my life in the least bit. Just stating my two cents... isn't that the point of a message board?

I'll give CJF one thing - his recruiting success has outpaced his on-field coaching, so there's that. If he feels billboards will help, so be it. He knows how to recruit better than I.

It does beg the question, though... I look at the billboard and see 13 players from last year's roster with NFL invites. Why was our record only 7-6 with so much talent?

He was not whining, but to the extent you think he was, how about you stop whining about his whining. Of course, now I am whining about your whining about his whining. I think that makes us hypocrites.
Uh, yes he was. It's exhausting.
