Sealey got robbed, but he screwed himself too by choosing down. You could see in the background the entire staff was telling him to go neutral but he already chose down. The way things were going in neutral he eventually would have taken Kraisser down.

He did eventually take him down. After getting out from bottom. Final should have been 4-2

How long has Braunagel been in college? Feels like he has been there forever. Or did he have an older brother go through the program also?

First period
Sealey had a good shot late in the first period but could not finish it. Scoreless after one.

Thought you needed undisputed evidence to overturn the call...the call was a takedown and it sure ah he!! wasn't undisputed that it wasn't.

It's only his 7th year. LOL. He had a RS, COVID year and then an ORS for Greco last season. But, he also has/had brothers in the program according to his bio:

  • "Has an older brother Jarrid, twin brother and Illini wrestler, Danny, and his younger brother, Joey, is an Illini wrestler too"

He'll be fine when he learns more ways to get off the bottom. @Tom McAndrew Did you see the reversal on Sealey? What did you think? I understand the whizzer. But to me it looked like it wasn't really "in".
Always waiting for the Textbook Tom review to get the perspective of the ref.

Seeley won't remember not getting the takedown. He will remember the message he is going to get about taking down when the staff wants him to be neutral. He will be Carter/Levi/Mitchell punching bag this week.

Yeah but it would have happened earlier in the bout because we wouldn’t have wasted 3/4 of the period getting ridden, plus Braunagel wouldn’t have gotten the RT point.
