This team has ratcheted up on the bullying this year. They just seem to not only enjoy being technically sound but now also dishing out sheer brutality.
174- #1 Levi Haines vs. Orlando Cruz
Period 1:
Tying up & hand fighting. Levi shoots for a leg, but Cruz blocks him off. Cruz shoots for a leg, but Levi sprawls back hard & they work back to their feet. Tying up & hand fighting again. Levi reaches, Cruz reaches, but no luck. Levi drops in on a single & finishes the TD, 3-0. Levi throws in a boot & is trying to turk Cruz over. Levi hits a turn & is getting swipes. Of course I anticipated more takedowns from Mitchell. Who does he think he is getting NF and a pin?!
We have a bunch of guys using the Bow and Arrow………….yeah, brutal.
Was Zain the first PSU guy to really use the bow and arrow? For me he is the guy I associate it with and the first I remember seeing someone focus on it.
Just don't see 125 pounders doing it much but hell, Luke is getting in on that action as well.
Morgan McIntosh also used it a lot.

I do remember him being a defensive wrestler. But he was a TF. Plus being in the room with the super aggressive guys might bring more out of him.

Ref really starting to suck.
Idk what happened stall call wise in that match with Barr. I saw two green stall calls but didn't see the point awarded by the ref on the 2nd

Stalls I think we're 5 to 0 to 4 to 1... The Barr match confused me. The ref raised his Green wrist/arm twice but the first was Sollars getting bullied out of bounds and I didn't see him signal 1 point when he raised green the second.

One of those situations where you give the other guy some credit. Goin kept wrestling and those were two really nice takedowns he got.

Barr looked a little off. He didn’t seem to have the same energy level we normally see from him.
