Takedowns were PSU: 48 / Indiana: 3
Stalls I think we're 5 to 0 to 4 to 1... The Barr match confused me. The ref raised his Green wrist/arm twice but the first was Sollars getting bullied out of bounds and I didn't see him signal 1 point when he raised green the second.

I don't remember each of the early calls. I do remember the points awarded to Sollars for cautions and for stalling.

Barr had two cautions. Then, when Barr was on top on a restart, he didn't properly cover the rear of Sollar's elbow with his left hand. So that was a 3rd caution, which is a point (and the ref signaled for a point). Later in the match, Barr was hanging out on the edge, Sollars shot a double leg, and Barr sprawled backwards out-of-bounds. That's a mandatory stall call, and the ref signaled for a point.

It feels like he has taken it up a couple notches this year.
I thought Luke got off to a bit of a slow start this year. Maybe that’s part of the plan - it’s a long season & there’s no sense in peaking early. In any event, he’s looked very good the last few matches. I think tonight was the best I’ve seen him from the top position.

Shows how talented this guy is when he isn’t up against someone 30+lbs heavier.

Morgan McIntosh also used it a lot.
I think Morgan was the first to use the BAA during Cael tenure. BAAAAAAA, the sound Warner made.

Zain picked up on it and was a staple in his arsenal. Then Max Dean. There may have been others but not to the same extent. Now a bunch of our guys are tinkering with it.

Someone please correct me, but it appears SVN is mastering getting legs in for a BAA from standing.....on the way down. Its like he hits the mat and the other guy is incapacitated from the waist down.

You could really hear the coaches well on Byers' feed tonight, especially during Barr's match. I think it was Cunningham yelling, but, I'm not 100% sure. He was really angry during the 3rd caution, yelling "What's the caution for?!?" Then, he told Barr "Just start neutral. He's dying to nail you with another caution!" Then, he was really pushing Barr, yelling "You need to let him up and get one more. Josh, you need to push yourself here!" It shows you the mindset that these guys have. They have high expectations and make sure their kids are pushing the entire match, and the results follow.

Rocco seemed off tonight giving up 2 TD. Being ranked in the top 3 that should not be happening. Hopefully he makes the adjustments needed.
He’s gonna have to stay out of scrambles with Sinclair for sure. All good though.

Yep. Seems like Barr and Welsh really blew their lungs out. Wasn’t either wrestler’s best night, but part of the process.

Braeden with some subtle digs at the redshirt decision/process. Haha. Props to him for sucking it up. Hope he sticks around, because they are probably gonna ask him to do it all over again next year!
Yeah, I think he was mostly referred to the idea of not knowing whether they were going to be able to bring Nagao back or not, but I could be wrong.

In all fairness, those are the type of guys they will see on Thursday night of the national tournament. Getting gassed a bit but those 2 were no slouches.

The Maryland match should prove interesting in the sense that our guys wrestled tonight then will bus to MD tomorrow and wrestle a fresh MD team. I’m not suggesting a loss, but we could see a more tempered Penn State. As Cael said - it’s just another challenge for the guys. Guess this team needs some different challenges to level the field and keep them on the hunt.

They were drilled hard this week. The only two I thought were effected were Rocco and Barr. The fatigue showed up at 184 and 197. Having to simply make weight and wrestle a match tonight, tomorrow the entire team should be fresher. Assuming nobody has a brutal weight cut.
