Luke L will be a National Champion this year. Simply the best wrestler at 125.
I can't believe how solid Mitchell's top game is this season. He wants that Hodge! I just don't see anyone keeping it close with him, even at the NCAA tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if he bonuses his way through the entire tournament. Interesting technique by Mitchell at 2:26 as he steps on Lillard's ankle in order to secure Lillard's free leg to convert the TD : ).

That was a complete beatdown of the #11 ranked wrestler. Luke has looked very good his last few matches. His conversion rate on his TDs is impressive.
Marcus has looked so good this season. He wrestles with a focus and composure far beyond his years. 133 is a meat grinder this season. Add Seidel to the mix and that is one tough weight. That being said, Marcus is right up there with the upper echelon of the weight and I wouldn't be surprised to see him win it all this season. I am really looking forward to his match with Davino.
There's no shame in being a little bit shy. I think Braeden is wrestling reasonably well and I think he handles himself fine, we could do much worse.....
Did anyone’s B1G+ feed drop out / freeze up during the Indiana dual? Mine did twice. Not sure if it was my problem only. TY
Question for those who were not at the match last night. Those who were at the match, don't spoil it.
At intermission they had a pre-recorded, "In the spotlight" interview with Mitchell. One of the questions was, "If you were in lockdown with a teammate for 24 hours, who would you want it to be, and why?"
Mitchell, by the way, was very thoughtful about his answers, as you'd likely expect. Guesses?

Agreed. Never had issues with BTN+ either till last night. Felt like I was watching it on Flo
I had that happen. I had to back out of the match and start watching again. If I did that I could rewind back to the time it started buffering and I was fine
Frank Molinaro was the first guy I can remember under Cael.
There is a great photo of him smiling while getting back points agains Dylan Ness with the bow and arrow. I was going to post it but for some reason I couldn't find it on the internet anymore?

The announcers were boringly good. I want to hear about gusto, fists to the back, mat returns being called takedowns, and other entertaining items.

Yes, several times. Had to back out of watching and reselect the match and choose to start it live. Annoying.
I disagree. Cael preaches fearless wrestling. He tells guys to give up takedowns. Part of the process. At tOSU Rocco was SO defensive. I think Cael rubbing off on him and he letting it fly which is gonna leave you out of position at times but wrestling this way lets you learn.
if this were a close match against a top guy, Rocco can defend with the best of them.
personally I like when we give up TDs at this point of season.

I had it happen 2 or 3 times.
That is pretty much my thoughts on Rocco while watching last night. I didnt think he looked gassed really. Looked like he was trying to open up and be more offensive and maybe left himself a little vulnerable a couple times.
Edit: The second takedown and right at the end he was looking pretty gassed I guess.

It's not like he gave up the takedowns in a scramble after shooting or any other offensive action. I thought it was pretty clear he just gassed in the 3rd period. Goin is pretty good and he kept coming. IMO, not a big deal - for now.
If Cannon gets a haircut he could wrestle 149 and avoid Duke.
That’s kind of my point but maybe I didn’t express myself as well as I could.
Rocco went hard and let it fly for 2 periods and built up huge lead. May have gassed himself a little which led to tds later.
in the past, it would have been closer throughout, he wouldn’t have gassed and it would have been a 4-1 win.

His answer was Braeden Davis. He said that he went on a ride with Davis one time, and the conversation was so interesting that time just flew by, so he felt that the 24 hours would be the same way.
Same, froze during SVN’s bout and I was able to get it back. Froze up again during Levi’s bout and it wouldn’t come back, had to switch to my phone.
Did the math the dual win streak would be at 372, coach Messenbrink keeping the streak going.
Mine did too! I clicked out and went right back in and it reset.
This is something we often see in mid &
late January. There are things that can be worked upon while down off the razors edge.
If you like comedy, try the Wisconsin student commentators on the Ice Hockey game tonight (BTN+ free tonight). They were hilarious last night … idly chatting through frantic action and trotting out many of the lame lines of the past. They both obviously love the game, but, it’s mostly as if they simply plucked two students out of row 32.
