I'm setting this up a day in advance. As a die-hard Eagles fan, I don't want to wait until Sunday to set up this thread, as I'm likely to be spending the day getting mentally and emotionally ready for the Super Bowl.

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the PSU - Maryland dual.

The video will be streamed over BTN+ for those that are subscribers.

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 12:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 1:00 pm EST. Kyison Garcia is in today and Braeden Davis out for Penn State wrestling opposite Maryland. Davis did not weigh in, per the Penn State Sports Network, and will miss his third consecutive match.

A couple of true freshman

Per 1
Luke with a quick TD, 3-0. OOB with 2:02 left. Luke cuts him, 3-1. TG shoots, Luke tries to counter, nothing. Luke with a TD to the back, where he gets 4 NF, makes it 10-1. Luke cuts him, 10-2. Luke snaps the head down and spins behind for the TD, 13-2. Stall warning on TG. End. RT @ ?? (I missed it)

Per 2
TG takes bottom. Luke with an optional start and TG with the esc, 13-3. Luke shoots, but they go OOB, and a stall call on TG makes it 14-3. Luke with a TD, 17-3. Stopped for PD. Luke with an optional start and TG with the sec, 17-4. Luke gets a TD, which makes it a 20-4, TF, @ 3:42

133: Kyison Garcia vs. #11 Braxton Brown (BB)

The only match today where PSU will be the underdog

Per 1
Garcia shoots, Brown sprawls, then eventually a stoppage for Garcia's headgear coming off. End. Movement by both guys, but not many attacks

Per 2
BB takes bottom. BB to his feet, he turns and then gets behind for the reversal, 0-2. Garcia to his knees, then hits a switch and tries to get a reversal, but BB kicks away so it's just an esc, 1-2. Garcia sort of shoots, nothing. End.

Per 3
Garcia takes bottom. BB gets an elbow and tilts Garcia, and gets 2 swipes before Garcia is to his stomach, 1-4. BB tilts him again and gets 4 NF, 1-8. Stall warning on Garcia. Garcia works up, but then is flattened. BB throws in a boot. End. With 2:22 in RT, it's a 1-9 MAJ for Braxton Brown

(Interesting that Braxton Brown got a major yet he never got a TD)

OOB and a stall warning on DL. Bartlett with a shot, DL with a counter, they scramble, and Beau ends up with a TD and 2 NF, 8-1. DL to his feet, Bartlett trips him down and they go OOB with 0:23 left. Caution on Bartlett on the restart. Caution on DL on the restart. Bartlett flattens him, and is working a one-on-one. End. Beau takes bottom. He slowly works up, and he's out, 9-1. OOB with 1:29 left. Beau working underhooks for a bit. DL tries a throw-by, nothing. Beau with a front headlock and gets a TD just before the buzzer, 12-1. RT @ 2:10 for Beau

Per 3
DL takes bottom. Optional start, and DL gets the esc, 12-2. Beau snaps the head down and gets behind, 15-2. He cuts him 15-3. Beau drives him off the mat and gets a stall point, 16-3. Beau in on a single, they scramble, and a stalemate with 0:26 left. Beau shoots, blocked. End. With 2:17 in RT, it's a 17-3 MAJ for Beau

SVN in on a single but KM kicks free. KM shoots, and SVN with a whizzer. They scramble, and a stalemate with 2:11 left. SVN working the head. SVN shoots a single, and has KM titled but not enough for swipes. KM gets to his stomach, so it's just a TD, 3-0. SVN tilts him, and the ref is holding 4 NF as SVN tried to get the pin. KM to his knees so 4 NF awarded, 7-0. KM up and he's out, 7-1. End. RT @ 1:20 for SVN

SVN takes bottom. He works up, then turns in and gets the esc after 12 sec, 8-1. Stall warning on KM. SVN shoots, they scramble, and eventually a stalemate with 0:29 left. KM to his knees, SVN snaps the head down and shoots, but the buzzer sounds before he can get anything. End. RT @ 1:08 for SVN

KM takes bottom. KM to his knees. SVN tries to get a cradle but loses it. SVN flattens him. Stall warning on KM makes it 9-1. RT is locked. SVN cuts him, 9-2. SVN with a double to the back, he picks up the head, it's close, but the buzzer sounds. With 2:53 in RT, its's a 17-2 TF @ 7:00

157: #1 Tyler Kasak vs. #6 Ethen Miller (EM)

Both guys are undefeated on the season in February, so one of them will get their 1st loss today.

Per 1
Quick stoppage as Kasak gets poked. Stoppage as Kasak gets poked again. Kasak shoots off a Russian tie, nothing. Kasak shoots again, nothing. Kasak shoots on the legs, nothing. Lots of hand fighting slows things down. Kasak snaps the head down, nothing. End

Per 2
Kasak takes bottom. He's up quickly to his feet, and he's away, 1-0. Kasak shoots, blocked. EM isn't doing anything. Kasak shoots, blocked, and a stall warning against EM. 1 min left. EM shoots a single, he gets it and elevates it, but Kasak is able to kick it free, so nothing. Stoppage for injury on Kasak, as he appeared to hit his forehead against EM's knee. Kasak has his head on the mat. It appears that Kasak is bleeding; not certain. Kasak being helped off the mat, as he's in concussion protocol.

Kasak will lose by Injury Default, @4:21. Damn

This could get ugly, in a good way. ;)

Per 1
Mitch grabs a low single, but loses it. He shoot again and gets behind for the TD, 3-0. Mitch cuts him 3-1. Mitch nearly shows AU to his back but gets the TD, 6-1. Mitch working an arm bar. Stalemate with 1:09 left. Mitch cuts him, 6-2. Mitch gets behind again for a TD, 9-2. He's quickly working a bow-and-arrow, but loses the hold. Stall warning on AU. Mitch working a 2-on-1, but can't turn him. End. RT @ 2:09 for Mitch

Per 2

Per 1
Lots of action, but no score thru 1st min. Haines shoots, nothing. End

Per 2
BJ takes bottom. He works to a 3-point stance, and Haines get him down to his base. Eventually, Haines gets him flattened. Haines throws in a boot. Stalemate with 1:08 left. After a bit, a stall warning on BJ. Haines trying to turn him, and a stoppage for stalling on Haines. (???) End. A rideout. RT @ 2:00 for Haines

Per 3
Levi takes bottom. He works to his feet, and he's out in 11 sec, 1-0. BJ shoots, they scramble, and Haines ends up getting behind for the TD, 4-0. They go OOB with 1:05. BJ is up and he's out, 4-1. I'm looking forward to this match -- Jaxon is pretty good.

CStar with a double but they go OOB. Stall warning on JS for going off the mat on that shot by CStar. Stoppage for a stalemate. JS with a sort of shot. CStar shoots but they go OOB. Per 2
Kerk takes bottom. He's to his feet and away, 4-0. Kerk with a blast double for the TD, 7-0. Stoppage for an illegal hold on Kerk, makes it 7-1. SN up and out, 7-2. End RT @ 0:50 for Kerk

Per 3
SN takes bottom. He gets the RT over 1 min. SN gets away as Kerk lost the hold on a tilt attempt, 7-3. Stalemate called with 0:57 sec left. SN sort of shoots, nothing. SN shoots again, nothing. With 1:06 in RT, it's an 8-3 DEC for Kerk
