Penn State - Wyoming '25 Match Thread

I'm reffing for about 9 hours on Saturday. And while I'm hoping I'm home in time for the PSU dual, I'm likely to be absolutely exhausted. So, to make sure the match thread gets set up, I'm doing so the day before so that everybody has the details they may need.

Please use the thread for all pre-match, in-match, and post-match discussion for the 2025 PSU - Wyoming dual.

Arena-Auditorium, Larimie, WY

Video Streaming:
Subscribers of FloWrestling can watch a video stream of the match.

Audio Streaming:
The radio PBP, with Jeff Byers at the mic, will be streamed for free. The pre-match portion of the broadcast will begin at 7:40 pm EST, with the actual dual taking place at 8:00 pm EST. You can access the audio stream at:

PBP:
I'm ruling myself out for PBP, as I know from experience that I'm usually exhausted when I ref all day. Hopefully, I'll get to participate a bit in the thread, but not for doing PBP. Hopefully, @GregPickel and @SlipperyPete will be available for PBP, and thus we'll be covered. That said, we always encourage others to participate, and post thoughts about things that happen in the dual. And as always, a reminder that if you are doing PBP, please post the score of the match, as well as the team score of the dual, at the end of each match.

Those with the vesee box, are you able to watch this match?
if so what channels or how?

Does anyone know how long after the match is over when they it put up on Youtube or if at all? I was thinking on not listing to Byers and just watching it later on tonight. TIA

Tonite’s match is streamed by Flo. All FloSports live events can be streamed using the vsee box. No specific channels just find FloSports and scroll through the live streams to find the match. One advantage to a Flo subscription would be the ability to watch the match at a later date. If you can watch archived streams I am not aware with how.

So they don’t have it loaded up until closer to the time?
I looked and didn’t see the match as upcoming.

It seems like they put up at least 3 or 4 matches pretty soon after. Maybe a couple hours and then the entire dual later that night. At least that’s how it was for Drexel I think

lol, no. Nothing even close to a biting call. A few grabbing of head gear, one grabbing a uniform. Probably the strangest situation was where with all the whistles being blown on the multiple mats, one of the wrestlers on my mat missed my whistle for the end of a period, and then proceeded to lift up their opponent, who had heard the whistle and stopped wrestling, and nearly slammed them to the mat (probably wouldn't be a slam call in a dual, but it certainly stunned the wrestler that had stopped). You usually have some leeway when the issue is whistle confusion at a tournament, so I basically gave the kid that was semi-slammed all the time they needed to recover, without running injury time.

I’m not seeing the link to listen to Byers. I went to the wrestling, found Wyoming, but not seeing link to listen to audio. Any suggestions?
