Please help me to understand. Does Christian Hackenberg constantly under perform or does the O-line suck? Will Christian be a high draft? If so, please explain to me why.

I would say it's a bit of both. Penn State's pass protection is poor, but Hackenberg is also an overhyped whiner who's beaten absolutely nobody during his time at Penn State.

I agree with what your saying but he will probably be one of the top ten picks this year

They just said when Franklin took over they only had nine players on scholarship on the offensive line.

Speaking of overhyped, how about James Franklin? He was 7-6 last year, and looks like he may finish 7-6 this year too. I get that they are still recovering from the scandal, but Franklin was hyped up as a big-time hire for them, and while he has recruited well, the onfield results have yet to show up. That great recruiting better start producing results next year.

The experts have him as the fifth highest QB prospect. I'm not sure when 5 qbs will be drafted but I'd guess late second early third.

I wouldn't invest a draft pick in the guy.

Georgia O-lineman flagged for a late block - at the exact same moment that the Georgia WR is being body-slammed to the ground out of bounds. How is one a late hit, but the other is not?

If he lasts into the 2nd, I'll be curious to see if O'Brien takes him.

Penn St. driving with a chance to tie the game. I wouldn't have guested it an hour ago! I minute to go, and 60 yards for the tie!

At least they made it interesting.

Hackenberg is a selfish player. He is not a leader. A leader would not leave a game with a minor boo boo. This may be why he has been sacked so many times in his career....the line does not care to protect him. I expect him to be a bust in the NFL.

I wouldn't go that far - a shoulder injury is pretty hard for a QB to play through. But sticking the camera on him the entire second half, as if having him on the headset was somehow going to influence the outcome of the game, got pretty old. Focus on the guys who are out there busting their butts.

I am not sure the selfish player you described would have gone to Penn State to start with. I think he decided a while ago he was gone, and why take a chance with something like that. Because of the circumstances surrounding that program when he committed...he earned the right to sit that out if in doubt if you ask me. He's done enough for them.

I remember a couple of early 2016 mock drafts done last year had him as #1 overall pick. Its crazy how much those things can change.

Gotta totally agree with this. In Franklin's career he really hasn't shown he is a great coach. Even when he won at Vandy, they didn't beat many good teams or teams with winning records.
